Vance played in a total of 3 matches for The Mariners before returning to the City Ground. Vance moved to Rotherham United the following season and ended his career there at the end of the 1999/2000 season. |

Tommy was an important first team player while at the club. He is now in charge of a brand new football school in Lincolnshire. The former Hull and Boston Utd player is another Town legend. |

| Neil Webb Current Club:No Club(Retired) Former Clubs:Reading,Portsmouth,Nottm Forest,Man Utd,Nottm Forest ,Swindon,Grimsby,Altrincham Nationality:English Former Manchester United player and England International Neil Webb joined Town at the start of the 1996/1997 season and before long was gone when he was released on a free transfer to Confrence side Altrincham Town. Neil was a bit of a donkey while playing at Town, but his former teamate Brian Laws(the boss at the time)could not resist and ex international at the club. |

| Morgan Cranley Current Club:No Club Former Clubs:Belvedere Utd,Grimsby Nationality:Irish Morgan joined Town on trial from Irish side Belvedere United. The Irish U21 International goalkeeper joined the reserves for a short while in the 2000/2001 season but signed a permanent deal at the start of the 2001/2002 season. Morgan never made the bench for Grimsby but featured as the 1st choice reserve keeper when Ronald Ermes left the club on a free transfer, but Morgan was released on a free transfer when Ermes returned to the clubn after failing to impress at a trial with Sheffield Wednesday. |

| Danny Butterfield Current Club:Crystal Palace Former Clubs:Grimsby Nationality:English Home grown youngster, Danny Butterfield signed for Town from the youth team in the 1996/1997 season and soon becmae a regualr Town defender. Danny is capable of playing down both right or at centre back. Butters is a gret player who will be truly missed. Sadly Danny`s contract ran out at the end of the 2001/2002 season and looked expected to sign a new contract at Grimsby, but rejected the offer and a few weeks later Danny was shipped of to Crystal Palace on a free transfer. |

| Andy Todd Current Club:Blackburn Rovers Former Clubs:Middlesborough,Swindon,Bolton,Charlton,Grimsby Nationality:English Andy Todd was loaned towards the end of the 2001/2002 season from Charlton Atheltic. Todd is an experienced defender with an excellent eye to goal having scoring 5 times in his loan spell. Andy enjoyed his time at The Mariners and doing so extended his loan till the end of the season. Paul Groves was expected to offer Todd a permanent deal but the players wage was to high. Blackburn Rovers spotted Todd while playing for Town and signed him from Charlton for �750,000 a few weeks after returning from Grimsby. |
