Matt made the bench once but never played for the Town first team. After being released on a free transfer at the end of the year Matt and a freind decided to go on a trip to the US. On his travel American club Indiana offered Matt a permanent contract, he has been there since the start of the 2000/2001 season. |

| Lee Nogan Current Club:York City Former Clubs:Oxford,Brentford,Southend,Watford,Reading,Notts County, Grimsby,Darlington,Luton Nationality:Welsh Lee joined Town for �170,000 from Reading at the start of the 1997/1998 season. Lee spent 2 great years with The Mariners also helping them to climb back into the Fist Division. Lee was a reliable but sometimes clumsy striker who had his ups and downs at Town before he was released on a free transfer at the ened of the 1998/1999 season. Lee joined Darlington and later Luton before settling at Third Division strugglers York City. |

| Robert Taylor Current Club:Wolves Former Clubs:Norwich,Leyton Orient,Birmingham,Brentford,Gillingham, Man City,QPR,Gillingham,Grimsby Nationality:English Former Man City stiker Robert Taylor joined Town on loan for a month from First Division promotion favourates Wolves. Robert played 4 matches in hole and scored once, that was before a suspension for his sending off against Bradford and then his injury. Rob was Paul Groves first ever signing as a manager and one of his worse. Robert returned on loan on the transfer dealine day of the 2001/2002 season but did not play first team football, despite Robert being availble on a free transfer Grimsby or even Wolves decided not to offer him a contract. |

| Craig Shakespeare Current Club:No Club(Retired) Former Clubs:Walsall,Sheff Weds,West Brom,Grimsby,Scunthorpe,Telford, Blakenall Nationality:English Craig joined Town in the 1992/1993 season from Sheffield Wednesday. Craig was a decisive midfielder. Craig moved out of Blundell Park at the start of the 1997/1998 season to local rivals Scunthorpe United. After a short while ar Glanford Park Craig moved on to play for Telford United and later non-league side Blakenall Town where he retired at the end of the 99/00 season. |

He spent many years with Grimsby, some rough and some good. Paul left Town for West Brom in the 1993/1994 season before later moving to Swansea City. |

Paul stayed Towns number 1 until the 1995/1996 season when he was sold to West Brom for �250,000. Burnley later signed Paul before a move to Norwich City at the start of the 2001/2002 season. |
