Coalsgarth began in 1989 and is a kennel concentrating on soundness, ability, conformation and suitability as an intelligent and biddable family pet. The foundation bitch was RT.CH.Chekita Jay Two CD(Jay) whom I lost in early 2000 due to old age. She was a great working dog with a pedigree based on an Australian show bred father and her dam's UK and Australian working bloodlines, who produced many successful litters over the years. She won 2 State Retrieving Trial Championships during her career, the ACT State in 1991 and the NSW State in 1992. She also completed a National Retrieving Championship when nearly 12 years of age. I continue to breed down from this lovely bitch.

Attention is paid to hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia and other genitic problems and all puppies are guaranteed. Information on HD, OCD and other genetic problems can be found on the internet or via any vet or good Labrador Retriever book. My latest breeding bitches, Penny and Kahla, have been Optigen tested in the USA and both are pattern A1, ie clear of the PRA gene. Puppies are sold with papers, vaccinated and wormed, and diet sheets and puppy rearing information is supplied at point of sale. Any information requested is willingly given at any time.
