As one may think, building a historic coal mining memorial
is a major undertaking, and we need to raise five million dollars for construction cost
only. There are many other expenses related to the project, but just raising
the cost for the construction would be enough to honor the 127,000 coal
miners killed in mining disasters in this country alone. No
contribution is too small, and each one is tax deductible. Any contribution
will help honor these men and women who lives were tragically taken away due to mining accidents. Checks should be made payable to: Boone County Historic Landmark Commission, for NCMME. Send your contributions to 200 Court St., Madison, WV 25130. For more information call 304-836-5597, or fax us at 304-836-5598. You may e-mail us at [email protected].
