| In order to make your vote, you are required to darken in the empty area between the tip of the arrow and the line made available. Look at the option for John Hagelin for an example. This ballot would be cast for John Hagelin of the Natural Law Party. |
| You continue this process for each race/position you wish to vote for. Ballots usually have several races/contests to vote in. Keep in mind, unless the ballot allows for it, you may only vote for one person in each race. Any ballot that disregards this is ruled invalid. |
