| Reflections from the Boy Who Would Be King and his Sister Part 1 |
| Author: Reena Email: [email protected] Rating: uh, average, PG15 It had been quite a memorable day for the one called "Fearless Leader". Quite a large amount of information had been amassed-and none of it useful for what his "destiny" held. This was strictly your garden-variety, human-element type of information. It's not as though learning that being pissy over Liz's bra being seen by everyone was going to help him fight for his people. Um, no. Wrong story. It's not as though learning that Maria was by far the most scary human was going to help him with his people. No. He just learned that by becoming her "Girlfriend" meant she owned him. He could only begin to imagine what ownership she had over Michael...heh heh heh...actually, he could imagine pretty darn tootin' good what kind of ownership she had over Michael. Total. Maria was a totalitarian. Max Evans did a mental review of his day-so-far. It began with the Kyle-is-an-idiot knowledge. A stupid, vicious rash-inducing idiot who had the audacity to mention his girlfriend, his Liz, in a bra. Kyle Valenti had seen Liz in a bra. The (shocking) realization had done him no good. And his useless friends, including his sister, were acting like he should be okay with it. Yeah, right. If Michael had heard some other guy mentioning Maria in a bra...well...bail money would probably be required. But Michael was acting like it was no big deal... Then, to make things worse, he was stuck shopping with Maria on Saturday. To "de-program" him. And then she just had to pull out that he knew of the "Telescope Incident" by threatening to do the Chemistry experiment. Experience had enlightened him as to the many, many, many dangers of Maria near any type of scientific equipment. And so, under the guise of "Girlfriendness", she just extracted the knowledge from him. Which got Alex in trouble from Liz and Maria...and Isabel...for some Czech-PMS comment or something. Now, how Alex could ever think that commenting about Isabel in any other fashion than positive was a good thing...well...it was beyond him. Isabel. Evans. His sister. His make-up organizing, won't-leave-the-house-with-a-hair-out-of-place sister...and he just had to say something like that. Man, if Alex was a "My Little Pony" back in the day...let's just say pony chunks would be everywhere. Crossing Maria was plain stupid...crossing Isabel would mean various types of torture-in the alien variety. Speaking of Isabel...oh no...walking with Maria. This could only lead to disaster. Hurricane. Ice Princess. Bad things were on the horizon for "Clueless Second" and "Dodgeball". And how he had managed to be so lucky... He had a great girlfriend...who loved her telescope a little too much...but it was Liz...and Liz was gold to him...no, make that platinum. And after seeing the girls exit the bathroom, he would bet that Liz was groaning through the entire experience, just like he was... And Michael wasn't even telling him how he was going to crawl out from under Maria's probation. And it was weird, seeing Michael so smug about his plan. As though he knew it was going to work. A Michael plan. As a success? Yeah, and he was just some normal teenage guy. In an alternate reality. Speaking of Michael? Where was he? And where was the Isabel-fearing Alex? As for Kyle...well...who cares? No. He could seriously use a break from all of his abnormal friends... A break with Liz...that would be good... Very good... And for the first time that day, The Boy Who Would Be King had a plan. Max Evans had a game plan. |
