Maria, rambling and rambling on and on about how much fun it was going to be to stand up the guys on Friday night and how she could just imagine Michael's face when he realized what happened and how it was such a good way for her to get even with Alex and how funny Kyle was going to be when he realized Tess totally tricked him... And then it went on some more, so by the time she had parted from Maria, she was basically game for the Stand the Boys Up plan. On the other hand, there was this gnawing feeling growing. Something about how lucky she was to have Alex for her boyfriend. Because they didn't act like Michael and Maria. No, no those two were insane. Time spent alone with those two could drive a sane person crazy and a crazy person sane. Then there was Tess and Kyle. Kyle was just, too....too...Chia Head. Not that he was a bad guy, no...he really wasn't...he was kind of funny when you got to know him...but he was still...Kyle. And that meant lots of stupid things were going to be coming out of his mouth. And then there was her brother and his boring Liz. Those two could put someone to sleep. She gave up dreamwalking on either one of them because they were so boring. So, she was by far the luckiest person in their group. Well, second to Alex. He was pretty lucky, too. She didn't complain or yell at him. She trusted him, trusted his opinion. It didn't take her long to realize that taking Alex for granted was one of the stupidest things a girl could do. So she quickly remedied that situation. Alex was fun. He was goofy. And he was totally caring and considerate. And yet, he opened his big, fat mouth to Chia and called her a PMSing Czech girlfriend. And no one called her a PMSing anything. Not even her beloved Dodgeball. Not only had he blabbed to Kyle about her, but he even blabbed to Max regarding Liz's Spazz Attack or whatever. He was not doing to well. He was entering Michael and Kyle territory with those moves. Well, so was her brother...he and his stupid "I'm soo mad about the bra thing". I mean really, it was a comment from Kyle. Poor, dumb oblivious Kyle. And since Liz wasn't mad about it, he had no right to be mad about it. Tess was indignant enough about it for everyone. So what was a girl supposed to do? On one hand she had a great boyfriend. Who was beginning to act as stupid as everyone else. And on the other hand, she had an idiot for a boyfriend who deserved to be punished for calling her what he did. Maria was quite a persuasive person. If she got determined enough about this, it was going to happen no matter what. Liz and her would be sucked along for the ride. Because there's this sick curiosity to see her plans unfold. Because something always goes awry in a Maria-plan. Even though she usually had some really good plans. And she was torn. Because Tess was going to go along with it. And Liz was going to oppose it. And so it came down to siding with Liz...who stood for everything practical and boring. So she knew how easily she could be sucked into the Maria vortex... Okay, she thought. Why do you have to decide now? You don't have to decide now. You can decide later. Also known as: Let's see what Alex does before we decide to fully torture him... Yep. There it was.
