If you went to Ohio State between 1976 and 1984, you may see yourself here. Well, that makes it sound like I went to OSU for 8 years, which I didn't.  I continued to live near campus after I graduated, except for a year I worked in Florida until I got laid off and went straight back to Columbus.  Anyway, I combed my old journals for mention of people and stories and have posted them here.  So, have a stroll down memory lane by checking out the list of names below, and/or clicking on the links below.  PLEASE let me know ([email protected]) if you want me to remove your name from the list.  Although I don't think having your name here will put you in any danger, I understand that some people are very concerned about privacy and I will respect your wishes.
This part of my website has several sections - this page with the intro, name list (including where I met the person), and links to journal pages; a page with a sort of overview of my college years, an as-yet-undetermined-number of pages of my journal entries, and photo pages.

People always used to say to me "Man, you know EVERYBODY!" What with living in the dorm, working in the commons, going to classes, and meeting friends of friends, I did get to know quite a few people.   Eventually I got to wondering how many "everybody" was, and went through my journals and wrote down each name I came across.  Keep in mind, I'm not saying these were my best friends - some I just knew well enough to say hi to, and many probably don't even remember me now. Here are the ones I've gotten through so far, and where I met them, if remembered that part:

MORE TO COME!!!
College friends mentioned in my journals
HOME
Here is a list of people mentioned in my journals.  It isn't complete yet.  There are also several people not included here because I didn't know their last names or can't remember them now.  Probably the best way to find yourself is with the "find" feature on your browser's toolbar, but the names are in alpha order, if you feel like just reading through the whole thing.  I wanted to link the names that appear in the journal entries on the next page, but couldn't get Yahoo Pagebuilder to let me do it.  Go here if you just want to read the stories.  There's also a sort of overview of my years at Ohio State - you might want to glance through that to sort of tie everything together.
Want a free place where you can talk about the old days and maybe find old friends?  Visit my OSU alumni group at Yahoo!  Here it is.
I guess I better introduce myself to those who came here directly from a search, and don't know whose page they've reached - at OSU I was known as Chris Mines, lived on South Campus, worked in Womens's Commons, was a journalism major and hockey fan. If you need a further memory jog, here's a couple photos of me from back then.
1976
1980
Thanks to this page,  as of Dec.  2007, 10 old friends have gotten in touch with me after seeing them-selves here!  So, all the work to make these pages has been well worth the effort.  Thanks guys! I hope to hear from more of you in the future!
