Questions for 2003-04
1. Is a year of experience enough to take CMSU back to the National Scene?
Last Year this team was inexperienced with players adjusting to new roles. With
4 starters back (Their top 3 scorers included) CMSU seems ready to
make a push to the top of the MIAA.
2. Can 2000-01 Freshman of the Year take her game to All-American level? If Shackelford can raise her game as she has done each year she's been in college to the level of former All-Americans Becky Reichard, Leslie Dudley, and Amy Eagan; she will elevate her team to the top of the standings.
3. Can the other four starters take their game to another
level? Being young and inexperienced, with loads of
potential can only be used as a crutch for a short time. That time is over for
the Jennies. If the have any hopes of competing for a MIAA Championship their
time is now. Shackelford can't win by herself; you're only as good as the
people you play with. Her supporting cast have to increase their level of
play for them to be successful as a team.
