Questions for 2003-04
1. Is a year of experience enough to take SBU back to the National Scene?
Last Year this team was inexperienced with players adjusting to new roles. With
4 starters back (4 of their top five scorers from a year ago) SBU seems ready to
take the program back to where it was in the past; atop the MIAA.
2. Can All-State Freshman Ashley Bishop adjust quickly and help replace All-MIAA Defensive player Allison Davis-Ramirez? If she can live up to the words of coach Middleton "She can be an impact player for us". Not only will he have his 2nd consecutive freshman of the year; but possibly a return to the NCAA Tournament!
3. Is 2002-03 Freshman of the Year and DII Bulletin Freshman All-American Amber Wheeler going to avoid the dreadful sophomore slump. Amber lead her team in scoring as a freshman with an 15.7 average (The highest freshman scoring average in 5 years).
