Physical Description The Langston University Hargrove Music Hall is located on the west side of the campus adjacent to the I.W. Young Auditorium. Our main lobby leads to 3 classrooms, Choir Room, Band Room/Theater, Computer Laboratory w/ 4 computers for Music Majors, 2 Piano Instruction Rooms, Brass Room, 12 Practice Rooms (6 furnished with a YAMAHA piano for Piano, Choral and Instrumental Music Majors), Handicap Accessible Elevator, 4 Teacher Offices, 68 Lockers, Music Listening Lab, Music Library and Control System. ----------<>---------- Collegiate & National Organization CMENC is the collegiate chapter of the Music Educators National Convention. MENC is the national professional organization in which most of the nations music teachers belong. MENC sponsors the state music competitions, the state music convention (including the all-state choir, band and orchestra), publishes many teaching resources, promotes music education on a national level and many more things. ----------<>---------- Student Run Every Fall the student members elect their own officers to run organization and activities. ----------<>---------- Members of CMENC receive all of the monthly and quarterly publications that MENC provides, receive direct access to the online publications at the MENC website and are allowed to attend the state music convention for free.
