Instructors Aikido Instructor: Keith Moore Text from NU Aikido Web site: Keith Moore, Director of Aikido Shinjinkai, has practiced Aikido for 16 years, six of which were spent as uchideshi (live-in apprentice) under the late Aikido and Zen master Fumio Toyoda Shihan (1947-2001). He founded Shinjinkai to promulgate the teaching he received, and to promote training internationally in Budo (martial ways) and Zen. As a professional Aikido instructor, and as Director of a sister organization, the Association for Tactical Applications, Moore Sensei has taught Aikido to civilians, law-enforcement, and military personnel across the United States and in six nations. Other Instructors: Karate Instructor: Mark Goetsch Mark Goetsch has been teaching Karate since 1994. He has been the Shuseki Shihan (chief instructor) at Northwestern University since 1996. He started training in 1980 at the University of South Alabama.
