Background: While many Internet users from foreign countries may resent imposition of U.S. law and moral dictates on their viewing habits, it should be noted that Yahoo! is a U.S. company based and operating in the U.S. and subject to its laws and views of moral conduct. Therefore, the posting of photographic material and literature concerning sexual interaction with minors is against Yahoo! Terms of Service (TOS) and grounds for club disbandment. Additionally, Yahoo! attempts to restrict access to sites for children under the age of thirteen where and when age can be established. Enforcement of these restrictions, however, requires the interest of users to report such violations. There are simply too many clubs for Yahoo! to police. Please make sure you enter reference as "Adult Issues / specific topic" in e-mail sent to [email protected]. ADULT ISSUES UNDERAGED: There is something i'm concerned about....yahoo bans people who are under age from viewing clubs in the adult categories of yahoo. however, once you log out, you can view it all you want.     This is not the case. When you are logged out and try to view a club in the adult section, you will get a message which tells you that you have reached a restricted area. Adult search results will appear if you search for words that fall into an adult theme, but again, if you try to click on any of these results while logged out, you get the restricted access message. UNDERAGED: Sadly there are many things that yahoos TOS ignore. Underage user ids in the members lists of 'adult' clubs is a biggy.     In the profiles area, you were able to display any age you wanted, regardless of whether or not this was your actual age. Thus we had folks who were indeed over 18 in their account info who lied and said they were underage on their profile.
