| ~*~*~*~*~ When the water in the tub started to cool and bubbles had completely depleted they decided it was time to get out. Lana leaned foreward and pulled the plug out and stood up. She was somewhat unaware that Clark was watching her wet and glistening form from his perfect position sitting down in the tub. She barely even had time to blink before he had her out of the tub and pressed against the wall in her bedroom. "Clark wha-" he cut her off by pressing a seeringly passionate and frenzied kiss to her full lips. She moaned as his hands touched her in all the right places making her body burn with desire and her brain shut down. She reached down and took his rock hard erection in her hand and began to pump her hand up and down his impressive length. He felt the fog roll over his rational thought as he groaned against her lips at the sensation of her hot little hand touching him. He grabbed her thighs and hoisted her up to wrap her legs securely around her waist. His intentions were clear to her now. Lana's face was flushed and her heart pounded rapidly in her chest as she realized he was going to take her right here right now. His primal behavior turned her on even more. She felt a flood of moisture dip out of her arroused opening as her anticipation fueled her arrousal. She removed her hand from his girth and ran one of them through his hair while the other splayed on his shoulder, holding him close. Clark broke the kiss and led a firey trail of open mouth kisses to her neck, nibbling her earlob briefly. He was thinking about taking his time before entering her but he heard her begging him to fill her, pleading with him to make love to her. He was never one to deny her of anything she wanted. With one solid, controlled, always controlled, thrust he was burried deep inside her. Her slippery walls rippled around him, welcoming him back into her firey depths. She threw her head back and gasped air into her lungs and moaned loudly as he began to give her deep, passion filled thrusts, over and over. Her vision spun and blurred as the ecstasy overwhelmed her senses. Everything fell away and all she had left was him, all she felt, heard, smell, tasted and saw was him, giving her pleasure beyond her kinkiest dreams. His hands grabbed hers and pinned them against the wall beside her head. He watched her face as it contorted with her pleasure. He kept his eyes open as long as he could before the intense sensations of making love to her took him over. His eyes squeezed shut and he groaned loudly as his body began to tense in pending release. She was so close, all she needed was a bit more and she would be over that edge into the abyss of orgasmic pleasure. She tried to free her hands but he held them fast. She struggled half heartedly and in her attempted she twisted her body and his hard member shifted inside her rubbing a very importand spot. She threw her head back, not even feeling it connect with the wall, and screamed in release. He let go of her hands as he joined her in climax. Her hands went immediately shot to his shoulders and her nails dug deep into his impervious skin. He lost himself in his release, basking in the incredible convulsions of her vaginal walls. He was in heaven, floating in metaphorical clouds as he came inside of her, his semen bathing her inner walls as they milked him for all he was worth. When he opened his eyes they were on the floor, her sweaty body pressed on top of his. She was still wimpering and trembling in the aftermath of that unbelievable bout of mindblowing, life altering, wonderful love making. As she lay on him, still one with him, she felt something rush through her. It was just a woosh feeling inside her chest that she wrote off as a deep breath. It couldn't be anything too serious and she was too caught up in afterglow to worry about it. "Mmm." she cooed, trailing her fingers over his chest absently, smiling like a kitten that had gotten the cream. "I agree." he said. His body was so relaxed he barely felt something pass between them. He would have been worried, but he was too at peace to ruin it for himself and her. She moved up his body a bit so her face was directly above his. "We definitely have to do that more often." she said, then she kissed him fully on the lips. He returned the kiss and deepened it, his body responding again to her naked form. His penis swelled once more and became rock hard, still inside of her. She broke the kiss and looked at him with that spark in her eye. He grinned at her and said, "Ready for round two?" She sat up, bending her knees a bit more to get comfortable and braced her hands on his chest. "You bet your ass." she said in a sultry voice. She closed her eyes and began to rise and fall on his hardness. Her mouth fell open as she moved slowly her body heating up and responding to his in the most delightfully sexual way. "Oh Gawwwd." she moaned. Clark's hands traveled up the length of his body and cupped her breasts, massaging them with expert ease. His mouth watered for the two little hard points, so he took what he wanted. He sat up and leaned her back, thanking the gods for her cheerleader flexibility as he took on hard tip in his mouth and nursed it roughly enjoying the familiar flavor of the hard, yet smooth, flesh. Lana arched her back and managed to keep up the steady pace of thrusting herself down on him as she gripped his hair and breathed in the masculine scent of it. His arms were around her back, supporting her with great ease and aiding in the thrusting as his wonderful mouth did that exquisite thing it did. She could feel the pleasure from all points on contact radiate through her body and ultimately end up at her core. She could feel her orgasm fast approaching. She held on tightly afraid she mind drift away on the pleasure waves. He trailed a hand down to grip her ass, feeling her inner muscles ripple around him as he did. He grinned against her nipple and gave her butt a tiny squeeze then groaning as her vaginal walls tightened at the action. Her toes curled and her back arched involuntarily as he found one of her secrets. She really liked having her ass touched. To return the favor she let one of her hands slide down his sweaty back feeling the muscles ripple under his smooth skin at her touch, then down to give his butt and firm squeeze. She moaned in protest as he lifted his head from her breast to look her in the eye. She smiled through the haze of pleasure thick fog covering her brain. He kissed her then, sliding his tongue into her mouth to duel with hers, before she knew it she was on her back and he was on top of her. She cried out as this move cause him to twist inside of her. She kissed him hard and deep as their round of lovemaking came closer to it's explosive end. He felt the first ripples of her climax and reached between their undulating bodies to give her clit and flick, intensifying her orgasm ten fold. Lana reached up and bit his shoulder hard as she shattered into a million tiny pieces. She felt that whoosh feeling over and over as if there was something passing between them, something not of the physical realm. She she too caught up in mental and physical pleasure her body was experiencing as she felt the tiny jets spray into her. Clark cried out as well when his orgasm hit. Then he slumped against her and smiled when he realized they were floating again. He sighed happily looked into her eyes that were shining with completion and love. The afterglow this time was more peaceful, two times was enough tonight. His parents would be coming home soon. "Mmm, we're floating again." she said lazily, tracing patterns with her fingertips on his beck. Damn he was great in the sack, against the wall, on the floor, anywhere! He was just GOOD. He smiled at her deeply satisfied expression, damn he was good, he thought. "I guess we are." he said. She smiled contently happy. Then he heard a car door close. "Oh man. We need to get dressed quickly." he told her. He willed them to float back to the floor on their feet. "I'll go get our clothes from the bathroom." he said before speeding off then back within three milliseconds. She giggled, giddy with love. "That's so cool." she said, taking her clothes from him they both got dressed in record time. "Clark! Lana! We're home!" Johnathan called from downstairs. Lana combed her fingers through her hair before reaching up and fixed his. She giggled and said, "Come on we should get downstairs before they suspect something." then they walked hand on hand out of her room and down the stairs to greet his parents. "Hey mom, dad." Clark greeted. "How was your dinner?" he asked them putting on his best innocent expression. "It was great. The food was just faboo." Martha said, she looked her son and Lana up and down and understood what had been happening with while they there out. "We're beat so we're gonna go up to bed. You too don't stay up too late." she told them before heading up the stairs. Johnathan hung back. "You two stayed out of mischief while we were gone?" he asked them suspiciously. He still wasn't too keen on the idea of his son being intimate when Lana. "Yep, we just played cards upstairs in my room." Clark said with a smile. Lana nodded and smiled innocently as well. Clark's dad didn't believe them as he took in Lana's flushed face and her rumpled clothes, both of them were sporting the rumpled and flushed face look. But he was too tired to say anything. "Alright. I'm going to bed now. I'll see you in the morning." "Good night Mr. Kent." Lana said as the older man climbed up the stairs to join his wife in bed. "Is your dad still mad about that thing he saw on the front porch?" Lana asked, her face getting a bit redder. Clark shrugged. "Oh well. He can't stop us from doing the things we like to do." he said, taking her by the hips and leaning in to kiss her. She responded happily and put her hands on his shoulders. He was such a good kisser, of course he must know that because every time he got a little bit better. When the sweet little couply kiss ended Lana was left breathless. "Someday, you'll have to tell me your secret, Clark." she told him. "What secret?" he asked her, his lips still centimeters from hers, his hand tracing her cute little tatoo on that small of her back. He watched her eyes flutter open and look up into his. "How you can make me forget everything other than you. How you make the world fall away when I'm in your arms." she elaborated, a small smile played at her lips as his soft masculine lips pressed against hers once more. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Lana sat on the toilet, holding the little strip of paper in her fingers. It was blue... blue meant positive....positive meant she was......pregnant. She carefully wrapped the test strip in toiletpaper and threw it out. Then she put her fave in her hands and took a few deep breaths. What was she gonna do? "Lana? Are you okay in there?" Clark asked from the other side of the door. They had been hanging out in his bedroom playing The Game of Life. When she had aquired one little pink child her face got flushed and she made up an excuse of needing to use the toilet and hurried off. Clark was getting concerned when she had been gone for so long. She sniffled and looked up at the closed door. "I'm fine." she lied. She hated lying to him, but she wasn't ready for him to know yet. She hadn't gotten her period yet. She was three weeks late and she stopped taking her pills after two weeks of it not coming. She had avoided making love with Clark ever since she was three days late. Clark used his x-ray vision and looked through the door to see Lana sitting on the toilet her eyes all red and puffy. He didn't care if she didn't want him to know what was wrong or not he opened the door and sure enough there she was, her eyes filled with unshed tears. "What's wrong, baby?" he asked. She looked up and him but couldn't find the courage and tell him. "I uh, I got a bad headache." she lied again massaging her temples to emphasize the lie. She almost balled openly when Clark kneeled before her and replaced her fingers with his. She let her hands fall into his lap as his talented fingers massaged her temples. She didnt have a headache, but it was relaxing. "Is that all?" he asked. She shook her head. He stopped massaging her temples to take her hands in his. "Tell me." he said tenderly. He watched her reach into the waste basket and pull out a wad of toiletpaper. She pulled out the tiny strip and showed him. "What is it?" he asked feeling like a dumby. "It's a pregnancy test." she managed to force out. "It's blue." he observed, looking up at her with questioning eyes. She couldn't be pregnant she had been taking her pills regularly. Lana nodded and said, "Blue means positive." she told him. "Positive means I'm pregnant." she managed to say before she burst into tears and collapsed into his arms, clutching at his back as she cried on his shoulder. Clark was in shock. Way to go Kent you knocked up the love of you life. Great job, he thought as he held her and tried to comfort her. "Shh, sweetheart, it's okay. We'll get through his together." he promised her. "It's not okay." she sobbed. "I ruined everything." "It's not your fault, sweetheart. I promise it'll be okay." But his eyes betrayed his uncertainties. ~*~*~*~*~ Clark and Lana sat in the health unit, waiting for their appointment. Lana's eyes were red and puffy because she had been crying to the better part of the day before their appointment. She didn't know if she would be happy or sad if it turned out she was pregnant or if she wasn't. She clutched Clarks's hand and leaned on his shoulder for physical and emotional support. He kissed the top of her head and whispered, "I love you." She tilted her head back to see his face. He smiled at her to try and lighten the heavy situation. He gave her a chast kiss on the lips and wrapped his arm around his shoulders to hold her close. "Why?" she whispered, clutching his jacket and pressing her face to his neck, not wanting to accept this situation yet. She just wanted to hide in him. "Because your perfect for me. Your beautiful inside and out. You never turn your back on a friend. And your strong, even though you don't know it, you are a very strong person, Lana." he told her in a hushed voice as to not let other people hear their private conversation. Lana nodded, content when his answer. He was never one for the romance novel speeches, but he knew what to say to make HER feel like she was special. "Lana Kent?" came a voice from the front desk. She had given them that name to remain somewhat anonymous. "Yes?" Lana replied, looking up at the elderly face of the secretary. "Just another few minutes. The counciller will be here shortly." she explained before going back to work, answering calls and taking notes, while tapping the keys on her computer. Clark thanked her even though she wasn't listening. He felt Lana start to shake and rubbed her arm to offer some comfort. He wished he could offer more to her, but it was his fault that she had to go through this. He was surprised she didn't hate him. "Do you want me to come in with you?" he asked her. She nodded without hesitation. "Okay." "Ms. Kent?" the counciller announced from the mouth one of the three hallways. Clark and Lana both look up simultaniously. "Follow me please." she said. They stood up and followed the middle aged woman down the hallway to a room at the back. She started flipping through a folder as Clark and Lana took a seat in the small room. "Now, I understand that you've taken a stop bought test." the lady said. "Yeah. It read positive." Lana verified, holding Clark's hand in a death grip. "Alright." she handed Lana a small paper cup. "There's a bathroom down the hall. We just need to do a more accurate test to really determine." she explained. Lana nodded and left the room with the small cup. While she was gone Clark asked, "How does this test compare to the other one?" The woman looked up from her notes as if just realizing he was there. "Ours is much more accurate. We use a proven method of counting the hormone content. It's very accurate I assure you." she said. Clark nodded and they waited in silence she his distraught and nervous girlfriend. When she returned she handed the now full cup to the woman who ran the test in a separate room whose door led off from the one they were in. "How are you feeling?" he asked. "I feel nausous." she said, putting a hand to her stomach and resisting the urge to curl into a ball and die. It wasn't the fact that she might be having Clarks child, it was the fact that... what would people think? What would Clark's parents do to him when they found out? What about Nell? It was getting to be too much. She loved Clark and wouldn't be this distraught if it had been just him and her and no other factors to consider. But there were a lot of other, not so joyful, factors. Too many. There was an intense silence until the woman returned. She had a grim look on her face and she held a print out of the test in her hand. "I don't know how to tell you this but... the test came out positive." she told them. Lana already knew that from the look on the woman's face when she came in. "Thank you for your time." Lana said and moved to get up. "If you like I can give you some panphlets on abortion or some support groups for teenage mothers in Smallville." the woman told her. Lana's eyes grew wide at the thought of aborting her baby. She suddenly felt maturnal and felt like giving that damn woman the fingers. She huffed and took Clark's hand and walked out. "That nerve of that woman." she said to herself. Clark was silent until they got outside into the fresh air. Then suddenly Lana's knees gave as the reality sank in. He caught her just as she started to fall and held her close. She didn't cry, she just put her arms around him and basked in his concern for her. "We'll be okay." he said, he wasn't sure if there was much truth to it being that his father would have a elephant (cow just don't cut in this this instance) when they told him. She just nodded and couldn't help but smile when she thought 'here I am, I'm in love and I'm loved back. We'll be okay.' ~*~*~*~*~*~ Lana walked into the counsellor's office with a hesitancy in her step. It had been a week since she found out she was pregnant and she had been comtemplating seeing her counsellor about it ever since. Clark didn't know she was here, he was in the cafeteria talking to Pete about some chick Pete met at the Smallville mini mall. She moved to one of the doors marked "Office 106 : Miss. Marcosskey" and knocked on it. "Come in." came a female voice from inside. Lana opened the door and stepped inside the small office. "How can I help you?" the beautiful red headed counsellor asked from her chair at the wooden computer desk. "I uh, just need someone to talk to I guess." Lana told her. "Well, have a seat and tell me what's one you mind, Miss..." she trailed off searching for a name. "Lana Lang." she filled in for her. "Miss. Lang. Just pull up that chair and close the door if you like." the woman said. Lana did so and sat down, holding her empty book bag on her lap. "So. What's up. Boy trouble, parent touble, teacher trouble. Spill, I'm all ears." Miss. Marcosskey said. Now that Lana was here in the room, sitting down and starring out the window that overlooked the open field, she didn't quite know how to say what she wanted to say. "I'm a little nervous, so I'm just gonna say that I found out about a week ago that I'm..." she looked down at her fingers, "pregnant." she finished. "Ah. I see." Sharon Marcosskey acknowledged. "How do you feel about that?" she asked. Lana shrugged. "I guess if I was given a choice I wouldn't have asked for this. But, it happened and I'm okay with it but it's just... my family and my boyfriend's family don't know yet." she told her counsellor. "Hmm. There's a bit of a predicament. All I can tell you is you have to do what you feel is right." Sharon told her. "If you think hiding this from everyone and moving away to Europe is the best thing to do, then do it. Does your boyfriend know?" she asked. She nodded. "Yeah, he knows. And he's all with the support." she couldn't help but smile when she talked about Clark. Support wasn't quite the word to describe Clark's behavior now. He was afraid to touch her but he would hold her and kiss her. If was... interesting. "Are you in love with him?" she asked. Lana nodded. "Then I say what's stopping you from embracing a life with this guy. You are rather young, but back in the day all girls got married quite early in life." Sharon really didn't agree with teenage girls having babies, but she knew it wasn't her place to tell Lana to abort or give the child up for adoption. "Clark and I have been together for almost five months. I've been living with him and his family since my roomate moved away." she said with a smile, leaving out the fact that said roomate was deceased. "His mom supports me and Clark but his dad is really edgey when it comes to a couple things me and Clark do. I just don't want to be kicked out because my birthcontrol pills decided not to work for a month." Lana finished in a frown. So much for the wonderful pink pill, she thought. "Yes. I see where you're going with this. I know Clark, he's a really nice boy. I've never met his father, but I assure you that if you tell him he will be angry, as all parents would be, but in the end it would be better than hiding it until the last possible second." Sharon advised. "He may not be the biggest fan of your relationship with Clark but it's better in the long run if he's not kept in the dark. And the same goes for his mother." Lana nodded and agreed. "Yeah. Your right. I just don't know how to tell him. I can't just go up to him and say 'Hey Rr. Kent. How've ya been. I'm doin great. Oh and by the way I'm having your son's love child'." Sharon smiled a little. "Yeah, I suppose your right. I've been through the very same thing your going through. I thought for sure my boyfriends mom was gonna to hack off my head with a butter knife went I told her I was pregnant with her sons kid. But when I did she was angry for a few days but then she accepted it. And now my son is her favorite grandson. She told me a few weeks after my son was born that she would have never spoken to be again if I hadn't told her when I did." Sharon told her own story of a teenage pregnancy. Lana smiled. "I'm glad it worked out for you. I hope Mr. Kent will be understanding like you mother in law was." "Oh, me and Evan never got married. He went away to work and last time I saw him he was in the newspaper getting married to some babe." Sharon confided. "But he never loved me. I've seen the way Clark looks at you in the halls. That boy is head of heels in love with you." Lana giggled. "Yeah. He's really getting into the PDA's since we've been a couple." she said. "Anyway, thanks for your help. I should get back to him before he starts to worry." "Alright, Lana. Take care of yourself. Your eating and sleeping for two now." Sharon said, feeling like Lana's mom for a moment. She smiled and got up. She opened the door, but before leaving she turned and asked, "What's your son's name?" "Gregory Emanuel Marcosskey." Sharon replied. "I like it." Lana told her before leaving and walking to the cafeteria to rejoin her boyfriend. ~*~*~*~*~ "So, did you get the story on Pete and this new girl?" Lana asked as she put down a card. They were playing Crazy Eights on Clark's bed and Lana was kickin butt majorly. Clark made a face at the card she put down. "Her name is Jillian. She's from Costa Rica. They went on three dates so far. He really likes her." Clark said, pondering his card before putting on down. "Sounds like Pete's finally getting his turn. Hehe. I win." she said putting down her last two cards. At Clark's look of defeat she giggled. "Aw. Don't look so unhappy honey. It's just a game." she teased. "My manliness has been completely shattered." he said with a over exaggerated pout. "Want me to kiss it better?" she asked, rising her to knees and leaning over the pile of cards. "Oh please do." Clark replied as their lips met and he moved them to lay down on his bed so she was on her back and was partially on top her her. As they kissed happily, Clark's hand wandered down to her belly. He wasn't really aware he was doing it, but he started to gently caress the area where his child was growing inside her. Lana felt his hand rubbing her belly and tears welled under her eyelids. For once she wasn't thinking about how his parents would react, all she thought about was Her, Clark and their unborn child. She never wished for this, but the way she felt now, it was like a dream come true. When the kiss broke Lana covered his hand with hers and smiled up at him. "Have I told you I love you yet today?" he asked her. She giggled. "Yep. Four times in the morning, twice at lunch, I lost count on the bus home, and once while we were playing cards. But, once more is always welcome." she teased him. Clark grinned. "Well, since you put it that way maybe I don't want to say it." he joked. "ha ha ha." Lana fake laughed with a brilliant smile on her face. "We both know that you can't go for too long without telling me you love me." she pointed out. "Your right. I love you." he said, kissing her again and slipping his arms under her to pull her closer. "Hmm. I love you too." she said between kisses. They spent the afternoon like that. Laughing, teasing, playing silly little games with the cards, and kissing. Neither wanted to remember the pending telling-of-the-parentals, so they just didn't talk about it, they just enjoyed being young and in love. ~*~*~*~*~ It had been two weeks since Lana's talk with the counselor. Her belly had started to get firmer and she was eating more and sleeping more. She didn't get really bad morning sickness. Why did they call it morning sickness when it happens all day long anyway? It seems a little silly. She hadn't started to show yet. The doctor had told her she was about eight weeks along when she went to see him for an ultrasound. She was standing in front of her full length mirror after she had showered and dressed and was all ready for school. She imagined how she would look when she was four months, six months, and nine months along. It scared her a bit, but it was kind of neat how there was a little life growing inside of her. Clark knocked on her door lightly before opening it and coming in. "Are you ready to go?" he asked, coming up behind her and embracing her from behind, his hands gentle on her firmer belly. Lana looked at them in the mirror. Damn, they looked good together. She smiled and put her hands over his. "Yep. All ready." she said, turning in his arms and kissing him briefly. "Did you make my peanut butter and ham sandwich?" she asked, her cravings had started a few days ago and they were kind gross, but tasted so good. His noise wrinkled. "I seriously don't know how you can eat those things." he confessed. She shrugged. "I'm pregnant, that's how." she told him. ~*~*~*~*~ Mrs. Kent froze by Lana's bedroom door when she heard the 'peanut butter and ham sandwich' thing. Then she heard Lana say, 'I'm pregnant'. "Oh no." Martha whispered. She was in shock as she hurried down the stairs and into the kitchen before they caught her. "Ok, Martha calm down." she told herself. Lana and Clark came down the stairs a few minutes later, laughing about something. "Morning Mrs. Kent." Lana greeted her boyfriend's mother. "Hey mom. We'll see you after school." with that Clark and Lana moved to the door as Lana grabbed her lunch off the counter on the way out. Martha watched them walk down the drive way. But suddenly Lana just fainted, luckily Clark caught her before she hit the ground. Martha hurried out to them, her son was freaking out. "It's okay, Clark. This is normal at this stage." she told her son. Clark nodded then did a double take. "You know?" he asked. Martha nodded and put a hand to Lana's forehead to check for a temperature. She concluded that it was just a bad dizzy spell. "Mom, we were gonna tell you. It's just-" "Your father. I know. I'll take Lana back inside. You should get to the bus stop." Martha said. "I don't want to leave her here." Clark told her. Lana stirred in his arms and opened her eyes. "Lana?" he prompted her to say something. She felt the ground under her feet and steadied herself using his shoulders. "What happened?" she asked. "I was just walking then I felt dizzy and..." she trailed off. Martha had read all about the symptoms of pregnancy and knew that some women did get fainting and dizzy spells early in the first trimester. "It's okay. It's normal to faint when you're..." she stopped talking. "Pregnant." Lana realized that Martha had figured it out, she definitely was the brightest of them all. "8 weeks." she told Clark's mom. She felt like she was telling her own mom. "I'm sorry." she said and suddenly felt tears on her cheeks. Why was she crying for no reason? "There's another symptom." Martha said and couldn't help but smile. As a woman who had tried for so long to get pregnant she was immediately happy for Lana and slightly envious. "There's no need to be sorry. These things happen. You'll be okay." she couldn't believe how not mad she was... it was strange. Lana started sobbing and hugged Mrs. Kent like a child would clutch their mother in the middle of a department store when approached by a stranger. Martha put her arms around her and cradled her like a child. She looked up at Clark who was standing there, unsure of what to do. "I'm keeping her home today. You can stay home too if you want, Clark." his mom told him. Clark nodded and placed a loving hand on his despondent girlfriend. Later on that day after Jonathan had gone into town to pick up something from the hardware store, Lana, Clark and Martha sat in the living room together. Lana was sitting on the couch next to Clark, clutching his hand, needing that connection to him. Martha sat in the chair adjacent to the couch. "Well, how long have you known about Lana's condition?" Martha asked. Lana cleared her throat and said, "About three weeks ago." she gave a slight nod when she recalculated in her head. It was about that many weeks. "I see. Well, Lana, Clark, I don't really know what to say. I know as a parent I'm supposed to be angry and insist that Lana give the child up. But I know what it's like to be unable to have children, so I think that makes this case special. I'm very disappointed in you both for not taking all the precautions but I won't punish you." Martha said, her heart was beating so fast as she searched her brain for something she could say that couldn't sound corny or obvious. "We thought that the pill was enough." Clark confessed. Lana nodded her agreement to his statement. "Well, most of the time it is. But there's still that 1% chance that it doesn't work properly for one day and that's day that it happens." Mrs. Kent explained. "I guess." Lana said, her eyes on her lap where she held Clark's hand. She took a moment to take in the image of his large hand and her tiny one wrapped in one another, it was a neat sight to behold. "When Jonathan comes home, we have to tell him." Martha said somewhat sternly. "What? Mom.." Clark exclaimed, his head shooting up to look his mom in the eye. "No excuses. This is something little. This is huge. He needs to know right now so I don't have to live with this on my shoulders." she told them before she stood and left them to go to the kitchen. Lana was crying again. "He's gonna kick me out." she sobbed and leaned into his shoulder. Clark didn't know what to say because he wasn't sure what his father's reaction would be. "Shh, baby. I'll never leave you. No matter what my dad does. He can never keep me away from you." he promised and kissed the top of her head. ~*~*~*~*~ It was three painstakingly long hours before Jonathan Kent walked through the door. He nodded at Clark and Lana in the living room in a greeting and walked to the fridge. He poured himself a glass of lemonade and said, "Why aren't you two in school?" Martha came down the stairs at the moment. "I kept them home. We need to talk." she said seriously and walked back to sit the same chair that she sat in that morning. Jonathan sat in the chair across from the couch and took in the serious faces of Martha and Clark and the red face of Lana. "What's going on?" he demanded. Clark spoke up. "There's something that we need to let you know about." he told his father. "But before we tell you, you have to promise not to yell." "Depends on what it is. I'll decide wither I have to yell or not." Mr. Kent replied. When Martha gave him a look he caved. "Alright, no yelling." he said. Lana pulled her feet up and leaned her knees on Clark's lap. She felt so vulnerable under Mr. Kent's impatient stare. She cleared her throat and looked him in the eye. "I'm pregnant." she told him. Jonathan just starred at her, then looked at Martha, then at Clark, then back to Lana... then... burst out laughing. "That's a good one." he said, chuckling and shaking his head. "Nice joke guys." he told them. "It's not a joke." Lana said, raising her voice. When Mr. Kent stopped laughing she continued. "I'm 8 weeks pregnant with Clark's baby." she elaborated. Her heart was racing as she watched his face go from amusement, to confusion, then to anger. She braced herself for the yelling. But it never came. "You're pregnant. With my son's kid. How is that possible?" he asked, his face shifting back to confusion. He looked at Clark then to Martha who was trying hard not to laugh. Mrs. Kent giggled a little. "Well honey. First the boy meets the girl then they fall in love..." she told him. "That's not what I mean. Clark isn't from Earth. His chromosomes would be different." Jonathan said, despite the fact that he was angry that they hadn't obeyed his wishes to stay out of each other's pants, he was somewhat fascinated by this. Clark, having never thought that it that way, nodded and said, "Yeah, maybe my planet is just like Earth and we're just human with super abilities." he speculated. Lana's eyes widened, there wasn't any yelling or butter knife cutting. "Um, yeah. That could be it. Wait, I'm confused, you aren't mad?" Lana questioned Mr. Kent. He thought for moment then said, "I don't know. I'm just.." he trailed off. He searched for the anger that should be there. "I guess a congratulations are in order." he said, slightly confused by the way he was feeling. He was gonna be a grandfather. It was kinda exciting. "Thanks." Lana said. "I'm surprised at how easy this was." she smiled happily. It was over, and Clark's dad was.... smiling. "We should go to school." she told Clark and put her feet down on the floor. "Wait a minute." Mr. Kent said, his face grew serious again. "You two realize what a huge responsibility this will be. Me and Martha won't be helping you two along. You'll have to keep your grades up and don't slack off because you had a late night. This won't be a walk in the park." Lana nodded. and Clark said, "We understand that. We know that it won't be easy but," he looked down at his girlfriend, "we'll do it together." he said. Lana nodded again and kissed him briefly. "Besides, we're getting married." she told Clark's parents, looking forwards to the day when she could call them mom and dad and not 'Clark's parents'. "We are?" Clark asked her, giving her a questioning look. She nodded up at him and smiled. Then he looked to his parents. "We are." he said happily. "Okay. Now get to school." Jonathan told them sternly. "I don't want to see any C's on the next report card." he was only half serious as he watched them walk out the door. Martha grabbed her keys and followed them out saying over her shoulder. "I'll be back in a 20 minutes." then she closed the screen door behind her. Jonathan walked to the window and watched the happy couple and his wife get into the truck. He was angry but he knew it would pass. What was done was done. "Good luck." he said quietly to them as they drove away down the long driveway. ~*~*~*~*~ A steady beeping woke her up. Her head was throbbing and the beeping wasn't helping at all. She opened her eyes and groaned when her vision tipped and bend. She closed her eyes again and lifted a hand to press against her forehead. Thats when she noticed the wires that were hooked up her various places on her body and the little clip thing on her finger that she recognized as a heart rated monitor. That's what that incessant beeping was. "Clark?" she tried to call but her throat and dry and she had a hard time talking. Clark was immediately at her side. He had been in the lounge getting coffee when his sharpened hearing picked up her call. He took her hand in his and brought it to his lips. "Hey. How are you feeling?" he asked her. Lana tried to open her eyes, but the room spun again so she closed them. "I'm a little twirly. What happened?" she asked him. The last thing she remembered was they were on thier way to school and a semi truck was driving out of control of in front of them. Then nothing. "There was a accident. My mom is in the other room, she's got a broken leg and a few fractures as some bumps and bruises. We were lucky." he told her. "The doctors are still trying to figure out how I escaped without a scratch on me." She took this in then her eyes popped open and she paniced. "The baby!" she exclaimed, her free hand flying to her tummy. "Is fine." Clark assured her. "They did a whole bunch of tests and the baby is perfectly find. And you are too. I think the doctors are still scratching their heads because you don't have any broken bones, all you have is a very minor concussion." he said. Lana breathed a sigh of relief and smiled up at him, then frowned. "How am I fine? And the baby, I mean, a fetus could never live through a crash with a huge truck like that. The impact would..." she couldn't finish her sentence. "I'm not sure. I talked to my dad when I was in mom's room. He said it could be that when you conceived you took some of my abilities." Clark told her. She blinked her eyes and focused on his face again. "I did feel something pass between us that one day when you parents were out having dinner. I never felt that before. That could be when it happened." she said, it hurt to think because her head was aching from the lights and from just aching. "I felt it too." he told her. "And the baby probably is like me with the same abilities that I have, or it could be any number of reasons, like luck." he didn't really want his child to have to grow up in worry that someone would find out a deep dark secret, but it was a possibility. "Clark?" she asked, bringing him out of his thoughts. "I never asked up how you feel about all this. I mean, you can never get away from me now. This is for the rest of your lives." she pointed out. She had no qualms with marrying Clark and living the rest of her life with him. They had been together for four months and it already felt like she knew everything about him. She already felt like they were married. "I know. I can't wait to start forever with you." he told her. He always felt that Lana would never look twice at him, but now... she was his and he was hers. He never in a million years would have thought she would be this close to him. Forever with Lana? That made him the happiest superhuman alive. Lana smiled. "OK." she said. "Now get down here and give me a kiss." she ordered him lightheartedly. He chuckled and obeyed. ~*~*~*~*~ "Home, sweet, home." Lana said as she walked through the door of the Kent's farmhouse which had been her home for the past 4 and a half months. She went into Clarks arms and looked up at him. "No more hospitals for a while, okay honey?" she said, it was just a joking question. Clark smiled and kissed her. "No more hospitals for 7 more months anyway." he said. He was really hating the doctors for keeping Lana in the hospital for so long. They were amazed at how well the baby was coping with the accident trauma. It was like they never had the crash. "Oh god. I hope I won't have to go back there until then. But knowing Smallville there is bound to be something." she said. "I'm starving." she suddenly exclaimed and left his arms to raid the fridge. "There's no pickles." she realized and pouted. "Well, you ate them all in one sitting." he reminded her, leaning against the counter and watching her push aside various jars of various food items. She looked up at him when she heard his comment. "Are you calling me a pig?" she asked in mock hurt. "Well, your a very cute pig." he teased, with a wicked smile. Lana stood up and looked at him with her mouth open in a 'o'. "What are you gonna call me when I'm swollen and as round as a beach ball?" she asked him only half teasing. "I'd call you the most beautiful pregnant woman I've ever seen." he replied walking to her as he spoke. She giggled and went into his arms again. "That was smooth, Kent." she told him. "Your lucky I'm in a good mood." she told him, then wrapped her arms around his neck as he leaned in to kiss her. She moaned softly as they kiss deepened. It had been way to long since they made love. It had to be at least four or five weeks. She knew he felt the same way when the fridge door was suddenly pressing against her back. "Lana. Maybe we shouldn't." he said when she started to undo the buttons of his shirt. "You just got out of the hospital." he pointed out. "And I'm perfectly fine. Your mom is still recouperating in the hospital and you dad headed back there after driving us home. We're alone. Let's take advantage." she purred, kissing him again. Clark broke the kiss and continued to protest. "I don't want to hurt the baby." he said truthfully. Lana giggled and said, "Clark, if a head on collision with a five ton vechile didn't hurt the baby, I doubt you could." she finished undoing his shirt and tugged it off his shoulders. "Come on, Clark. Pretty please." she said sweetly, batting her eyes up at him. He tried to be strong, but he couldn't. He caved under her feminine wiles and picked her up. She giggled happily as he carried her upstairs to his room, their lips locked he whole way. ~*~*~*~*~ Next--> |
