Why don't you have any media (Anime, TV shows, Clips, PVs,etc) planned for translating?
That has a fairly simple answer. Currently, CR Translations is two people, me at Shota, and both of us are not fluent enough to understand spoken Japanese. While Shota is -very- knowledgable in Kanji, he can't understand spoken Japanese so far, mainly because of accents. We do wish to break into media, but we cannot until we find/hire someone with the skills to understand spoken Japanese. Currently, CR Translations is only two people. I (Cloudy) have clubs I am bound too irl, and since I don't know kanji, I rely on Shota to give me the translations so I can typeset. Shota also has bonds irl, mainly getting ready to transfer to Japan. We try to do translations as quickly as possible, but without destroying any of the original dialouge, so things -will- take time. We prefer quality over quantity. Me and Shota also hardly make any "face to face" ( We IM eachother on MSN) contact, because since he currently resides in Australia, our time zones are different and he usually hardly ever comes online until about Midnight my time, if that early. I usually stay up late, but sometimes I wish to sleep.Why don't you have your own domain?
Originally, CR had its own domain (www.cloudrealms.net), but due to money problems, it has been suspended until further notice, so we have to rely on outside hosting until A) I make enough money to pay for the domain, or B) We get enough donated to pay for the server. Probably PG-13 in some areas. While i'm generally trying to keep the site kid free, I do generally do mild to minor cussing, and a few of our titles, while not risque or anything close to "adult", we have the occasional "Non-child" titles. Nothing pornographic, just stuff that may deal with adult situations, or have some things that are more teen oriented, and not for young children ( I determine Teen as 15-18, and Child 8-12. Preteen is 13-15). I assure you though, that you will find NOTHING so risque to the point where it is for Adults only. While I do wish to break into that area, we cannot until we get our own domain. Until then, we shall remain as "Kid-friendly" as we can, while also providing material for our older visitors.What do you have planned for the future of Cr Translations?
Well, once we get on our feet, I hope to open up an area so we can recieve donations. Once we get enough money, I hope to reopen my own domain again, and hire some more translators. Once we get our own domain, we'll probably break out a section for " Adult material" ( Shota lovesss explicit yaoi, and I myself do enjoy adult material). Once we get more translators, I hope that we can begin to translate anime, Japanese TV Shows (Like Hey Hey Hey!), clips, and PV's and such. Once I get more money and staff, I'll be able to buy more materials, and we can get more jobs done. For now, I have to order things off of ebay with my own small fund ( Usually gift money and saved lunch money. I'm currently unemployed and a student). So, I have -alot- planned for CR Translations, along with a few surprises ^^.Can I use your layout?
NO! I spent lots of time making and coding the layout just for CR Translations. I will not tolerate people stealing it. ^^Will you translate -insert Paper Good (Doujinshi, Manga, Magazine)-?
We'll more than likely look into it since people would like to see it, but if it is a title we currently do not have in stock, then it all may depend on funds. If I have the money and can find the title, then yes, I will buy it so we can translate it. Currently, no we will not. As previously stated in several things, our current staff lacks the knowledge to understand the accents of the Japanese. We -will- start translating media though once we get the proper and sufficent staff. I'm currently trying to learn how to typeset media, but so far I suck.
