Yesterday, 15 January 2009, around two o’clock in the afternoon
after reaching home from the Internet shop, I took the snaps of my ID Card, the KTP, an Indonesian citizen
ID Card issued by the provincial government. At that time of day the sun light was good at the front terrace
of the house, so I made the photos of my KTP there by putting the KTP down at the floor.
Around half past four in the afternoon, as usual the maid knocked
on my bedroom door telling me that she would go back to her house. She works only on the day time
from Monday to Saturday.
After she left, I went out of the bedroom to check the padlock in
the garage. It was then I found that a bunch of bamboo trees at the back yard had tumbled down. Immediately
it made me wonder what could be the message for me if there were any.
Then I reviewed what I just did that afternoon. My making the photos of
that KTP were with the reason that I thought I should be better find a job and live normally. I had been living with the
support of my brother and sister for many years, the last time I worked in an office was in 1994 at 3M Indonesia.
And I can not just wait for your help to realize the "test", because you must have got so many other
things to do rather just helping me with that strange idea.
Yet that tumbling down of the bamboo trees became like a reminder for me, that
my consent is to move up to the eternity, not to live normally. Bamboo is like the name of the area of my brother
Faisal’s house, Pondok Bambu Permai. So the message was like reminding me of the priority that my brother
should remain in this world while I fulfill my consent to move up to the eternal life in the heaven above.
Nevertheless, it also made me complain in my heart: if the reminders just kept
coming to me, it would be useless, it would only make me dizzy accepting so many reminders, it should also went to any
others whom God wanted to help me.
This morning, when I saw the news at TV-One, I felt like the answer had come.
A plane crashed at Hudson river, and the important thing is that the crews and 150 passengers survived.
