Date: Sun, 10 November 2008 11:04 WesternIndonesiaTime Subject: Whirlwind at UGM After "Taken Away" Persuasion
Friday 7 November 2008, in the morning I wrote the previous letter about "Prince Charles Visiting Indonesia 2008" at a new Internet shop "Orange Net" nearby Alfa Mart mini supermarket at Griya Cinere. The letter contains photos of Prince Charles meeting president SBY in Jakarta and also meeting Sultan HB X, the Sultan of the Indonesian city of Yogyakarta, in Yogyakarta. There was a problem with the computer, Internet Explorer at first could down load data but later on unable, only a small window of "Web page unavailable while offline" that appeared. Yet when I used Mozilla Firefox, it worked fine. It made me move to another computer, and it worked fine for both IE and Mozilla. While continuing to write the page of Prince Charles visit to Indonesia, a man there kept on mentioning "taken away" several times, as if persuading and reminding me that something had been taken away from me through that visit of Prince Charles. It could be related with political matters, since Indonesia is approaching presidential election in 2009, and both the incumbent president SBY and the Sultan of Yogya are among the strong candidates. Of course it hurt my feeling to be reminded that way, because in fact I never joined any political activities, nor forming success team or campaigning team or anything like that, so why should there be suspicion toward myself related with politics. Around a quarter to twelve I stopped working and going to the mosque for Friday praying, pedaling the bicycle through the rain with some ponds of water on the street. At half past twelve I returned to the same Internet shop to continue writing. Considering such reminder from that person in the morning, I inserted the "Letter of Statement of Not A Candidate for Election 2009" on page bgt304.html that was supposed to be for the Prince Charles visit, and moved the Prince Charles page to bgt305.html. In the evening at home, there was the news on TV about cyclone of whirlwind that hit some parts of Yogyakarta, mostly around the campus of UGM, the famous university of Gajah Mada, at around 15.00 o'clock in the afternoon of that day, Friday 7 November 2008. Several trees tumbling to the ground, some of them fell on motorcycles and cars, while some roofs of the UGM building also flown away by the wind. "The total value of the loss we suffered from the tornado reached Rp 12 billion. Faculty buildings, internet, telephone, and electricity line are the sectors that suffered most from the tragedy." Prof. Dr. Ainun Naim, UGM's deputy dean, told tempointeraktif.com as quoted by detik.com. That amount is approximately US $ 1,2 million. It becomes like a message for me from God, that I should convince the politicians and their supporters that I am serious about my statement of not interested in becoming a candidate in election 2009 like mentioned in the "Letter of Statement of Not A Candidate for Election 2009". I hope there would be no more suspicions on me, because it would only waste time, energy and money that instead could be directed to intensify the campaign of those politicians rather than to keep suspecting me. Even when I just began this letter, another sign from God appeared, the rain all of a sudden falling down rather heavily. So I think this is a serious matter.
