City News - August 27, 2007
The Jakarta Post, Jakarta

A woman and an infant were found
dead on Sunday morning after apparently having jumped from the
35th floor of the Ambassador apartment on Jl. Dr. Satrio,
South Jakarta. The bodies of Lucia Loliana, 35, and
one-and-a-half-year old Imanuel Saegusa, identified as her
son, were spotted at about 6:50 a.m. on a 10th-floor balcony
by three tenants on the 25th floor, who contacted the
apartment's security guards.
The remains were sent to the Cipto
Mangunkusumo General Hospital's morgue for autopsy. Police
said they had not found any evidence of murder.
"The bedroom door was locked from
the inside but the window was open, with her footprint on the
sill," said Setiabudi subprecinct police chief Comr. Suwondo
Nainggolan, who oversees the area.
"So far, we suspect suicide ...
But we're not sure yet about the motive," he said. Lucia had
moved into the apartment four months ago with her |
|
Japanese husband Toshihiro Saegusa,
police said.
Sawondo said the police were still
looking for Saegusa, who neighbors said had not been home for
several days. He said Saegusa was listed as having two
addresses; one in Rawa Badak, Koja, in North Jakarta, and the
other in Bogor, West Java.
"Both houses are unoccupied," he
said. "We're still tracking his whereabouts. We don't know if
he's out working or else. We don't even know what his job is
and where he works," Suwondo said.
He said the police could not find
any information about Saegusa in the apartment, including a
marriage certificate.
"All we could find was his
residency permit for Indonesia," said Suwondo.
The police have questioned three
people from the cleaning service and security units of the
apartment, as well as Lucia's sister, who identified the
bodies at the morgue. (13) |

27 August 2007, a miserable news
appeared in the media. Lucia Loliana, 35, and one-and-a-half-year
old Imanuel Saegusa, identified as her son, were spotted at about
6:50 a.m. on a 10th-floor of Ambassador apartment on Jl. Dr. Satrio,
South Jakarta, after apparently having jumped from the 35th
floor.
It was after the collapse of Interstate
35W bridge of Mississippi river on August 1, 2007,
mentioned in my letter of "Collapsed
of Interstate 35W Mississippi Bridge".
At first I thought it was too tragic to
write here about this woman jump off the 35th floor with her baby. So, on
6 September 20007 in the morning at an Internet Shop I only took a
glimpse toward some photos at the website of foto.detik.com related
with this woman jump off 35th floor.
A few hours later in the evening, when I
watched TV, there was the news about Luciano Pavarotti died. His
first name Luciano was rather similar to the woman's first name
Lucia, and the news of his death appeared just a few hours after I
took a glimpse to some photos of Lucia's suicide.
It made me wonder whether there was any
connection with the numbers 035 072 8601 that I wrote in my other
letter of "035
072, Interstate Bridge 35 Collapsed Then Alberto Gonzales Resigned".
