Some photos of president Bush and his wife Laura Bush of Tuesday 5 June 2007 seem like reminding me about the death related with stairs like I wrote in my previous letters of Izumi Sakai, Another Death on May 28, 2007 and Another ITC Accident, Livia Mudita Falling 3 Stories. Whereas the death of Izumi Sakai was after she slipped on the staircase due to rain the previous day when she was going back to her hospital room after a walk. While the death of Livia Mudita was after she climbed the steel fence nearby the escalator.

Since Monday 4 June 2007, I began to take a fast in what is known as the fasting of Prophet David, or usually in the West also known as King David. It is the fasting of intermittently one day fasting and one day off. One day fasting and the next day off, then fasting again and then off again and so on. Each fasting day takes time from the dawn to the dusk. It is called fasting of Prophet David because such fasting was practiced by Prophet David during his life. Actually this plan of fasting has come to my mind since last year, yet I kept postponing it. When the news about Paris Hilton going to enter the jail, it became like a reminder for me that I am now in a serious moment in this life related with my consent to move to the eternity. I need to get closer to God, among which by practicing the fast. Yet I still have no idea when I should begin it. Until on Saturday and Sunday, there were some other reminders for me to begin the fasting. At Metro TV in the afternoon, there was the video about King David with one of his wives Bathsheba, whereas they had a child Solomon who later on became the famous Prophet and King. Then at SMS TV, there was someone name Sheba, just lie the name of one of Prophet Solomon's wife, sending some SMS messages that appeared on the TV screen, among which was "....don't you get it....". It triggered me to began the fasting on Monday 4 June 2007. Later on I found out that although Paris Hilton was supposed to enter the jail on 5 June 2007, yet she surrendered her self to enter the jail on Sunday night 3 June 2007 U.S. Pacific Time, or it was Monday morning 4 June 2007 in Jakarta. In other words, she entered the jail a few hours after I began the fasting. I hope she would do well in the sentence.
