Along with drawing the design of hamburger shaped basin on the beach, I also made the drawing of Marina hotel and apartment design. It was inspired by the shape of pagoda in some sacred places in Bali like pure Tanah Lot and pure Ulun Danu.

A few years after that drawing of mine, there were two famous buildings that became the highest buildings in the world, the Petronas Tower and the Taipei 101. The Petronas tower is a twin cylinder buildings, somewhat like the two cylinder towers in my design. While Taipei 101, although rectangular, but inspired also by the pagoda just like my design.

It makes me feel like I have moved ahead of time, but because I was riding a bicycle while those buildings riding a sport car, so they finished earlier, ….he-he-he-he.

But to be sure of, I would not recommend anyone to build a tallest building in the world in Jakarta, because it is contradictory with around 40% Indonesian people who are still under the line of poverty.
