This image provided by NASA Saturday Aug. 26, 2006 is from a
remote camera of a lightning strike at the launch pad on
Friday. The Space Shuttle Mission Management Team decided
Saturday afternoon to postpone the launch of Space Shuttle
Atlantis for at least 24 hours to allow more time for teams
to assess ground and flight systems following a strong
lighting strike to the lighting protection system at the
launch pad on Friday afternoon.

The above news of lightning strike the NASA
space shuttle Atlantis reminding me with a story that is related with my previous letter of
The Difference Between Alcoholic Food and Drink.
One day at the end of 1979, I joined some
people to follow some kind of gathering of pray with a
religion teacher in a mountain area of Puncak, around 100
kilometer from Jakarta. The event was filled with praying
and discussions.
In one of a discussion sessions, a
participant asked about whether alcoholic drink is allowed
totally or just allowed when it is not to drunk. The teacher
of religion answered that it is allowed as long as it is not
to get drunk. At the same time, a strong thunder struck, and
my uncle who happened to be a drinker in the past said I
think the thunder was a sign from God that it should be not
allowed.
In 1982, like I mentioned in my letter
The Difference Between Alcoholic Food and Drink, after I
did some "research" by joining Theo several times to drink
beer, not so much, just one or two glasses and I also kept
my self to drink not until drunk, I experienced a broken
heart where the girl switched to my friend who lived at
jalan Guntur. In Indonesian word, "guntur" has the meaning
of "thunder".
In 1989,
when I worked at the American Express, there was a tradition
among the employees to drink alcoholic beverages together
every Friday night, for free, in the event called 'Thank God
It's Friday' or 'TGIF'. My supervisor, Muhammad Wardy
Bafagih, an Indonesian with Arab blood and strong
Arab looks in his face, often invited me to join my friends
to drink in such occasion, but I never attended such 'TGIF'.
It was in 1989 too that the scientist discovered a new kind
of thunder high above in the atmosphere, the "Blue Jet".
"The first recorded image of an optical flash above a
thunderstorm was obtained serendipitously on July 5, 1989,"
says Dr. Victor P. Pasko, associate professor of
electrical engineering
at Penn State. "However, pilots and others reported
observations of sprites and blue jets long
before the first one was captured on video, and numerous
undocumented reports of similar phenomena have appeared in
scientific literature for over a century." ( from the

My conclusion is that since I have been in
the position of becoming the source of inspiration in the
international scale, I have to prevent my self from
alcoholic drink, or other wise people would question : "Is
this the inspiration blessed by God or blessed by alcohol?"

Apologizing My Mistakes
Most of all, I think it is important to keep
asking for forgiveness, to apologize for any mistakes that I
might have done in the past, because after all I am only
human. This is important because maybe my failure to move
out of this world is among which caused by still unforgiving
mistakes.
