Words From Rebecca:

I think not going on this trip would have been the worst decision of my life. I had an absolute blast. I have never become so close with new friends in such a short amount of time. I don’t really know how to explain it, it’s just kind of like we have been friends for years or something. We made everything fun together; yes, even the educational parts of the trips. Of course I did learn a little… I learned how to surf (looks more fun than it is), what Mahi really is (fish not chicken, and whoever said that everything tastes like chicken lied, because it sure didn’t, yuck), and that you should look and make sure that the crosswalk light is blinking walk before you just keep right on walking into the road (oops, that sure woke me up that morning). The pictures show you how much fun we had. We were so involved with each other we kind of forgot to take pictures of Hawaii, but there are a few that we captured.

This is a site all about our trip to Hawaii with Close Up in 2003.

Places we visited:

Diamond Head

Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii

Polynesian Cultural Center

Pearl Harbor

Words From Jessica:

This trip was exciting.  So many new people and places.  Some how I got brought into this trip without me knowing how, but I am glad, it was awesome! Loc was hilarious, Andrew was from "man", and the international market was the best place to get someone to swear at Becka in a different language.  Remember Mahi is chicken, really.  Even if Becka doesn't think so.  Surfing is fun but we needed bigger waves.  If you think Hawaii is hot and humid, it's not in February.  We all had a great time.  Jumping in the pool with all your clothes on can be fun if you have friends to do it with you.  I did get some great pictures of the sites unlike Becka, but she got some good video of us all being idiots so I can't complain.
