And if the rocket is successful, NASA may allow the instrument and its carrying case to fly on a future scientific mission into deep space. Since even the closest observed extrasolar planets lie trillions of miles (kilometers) away from Earth, some astronomers think we may never have the proper technology to find any life that may be out there. com home Back to top E-mail this story to a friend Share your comments, suggestions or criticisms on this or any SPACE. ..

Recording swim meet results, knowing where a swimmer stands in relation to time standards, and tracking improvements are critical to achieving better performances in the water. Our mission is to help swimmers by providing them leading edge data handling tools over the World Wide Web. In 2000, Swim Connection launched Club Pages Central, a free service that tracks best times and historical records, and compiles lists of top swimming performances. In its short life, Club Pages Central has already garnered much critical acclaim and is quickly becoming the de facto place to look for swim performance information. Visit Club Pages Central Get times, race results and highlights from your favorite swimmer or swim team.
The focus of this web page deals with the remote sensing work done for the Pacific Ocean component of the USGS coral reef project. High resolution multitemporal airborne image data are being analyzed for their potential to help map coral reef environments, and to detect change and monitor clear shallow waters. TOP Regions of Study Our main effort up to now has been on the island of Moloka'i, Hawai'i. Presented on the following webpage are some of the USGS research and applications of remote sensing to the coral reef environment on Moloka'i. Information, maps, and imagery from the remote sensing research in these regions will be linked on this page as they become available.
