That some of the main features are pro paranormal I'm well aware of, but the majority of features aren't and the rest of the magazine creates an intellectual environment to cast doubt on the validity of these few pro articles
The whole magazine's layout is designed to promote a skeptical approach. The first 10 pages or so are filled with grotesque and odd but decidely unparanormal stories. It's no wonder they have have adverts for the rather dubious 'Bizarre' magazine in it.The subtext here is to suggest that we are surrounded by odd events and they are all actually explainable and that seemingly paranormal events are in fact just as explainable
The main articles are where we get the occasional pro paranormal writing but the majority aren't. After that we get some shorter articles which are also predominantly anti paranormal material. This is then followed by the book reviews where for the majority of time only neutral or sceptical books get good reviews. I bought Mike Dash's 'Borderlands' recommended by Rob Rickard in the book reviews section and I have to say it was one of the worst paranormal compilation books I've ever read and it also had a virtually useless index system that made it pointless for me to keep, so for the first time I got rid of a paranormal book.
Simulcra Corner appears deliberately in the letters page to counter the most pro paranormal stories in the magazine. It demonstrates that people want to see the mysterious in the mundane on a fundamental perceptional level. It is the psycho-social approach.
And right at the end of the FT we have The Heirophant, a section which has go at the most easiest targets in the paranormal for a laugh.
If you are a meat eater, the FT is like hamburger that looks delicious to eat, but when you bite into it all you find is lettuce, sauces, spices and maybe the tiniest bit of meat.

I have deliberately not spent too much time on this section on the FT, because I don't wish to waste my time writing stuff that nobody reads. But if I got enough feed back I would enjoy taking apart some of the articles I read in it, mind you, the trouble is, that's a Herculean task because there's so much of it.
So I cannot for sure say if I will continue this part of this website, it all depends on you.
