These are just some basic questions and mysteries that should be cleared up. If you have any questions that are not answered here, make up your own answers.
- Q: What's with all the group names?
- A: This is covered in the history as well, but we'll answer it here too. Since there were five groups, there are five answers to this. They are as follows:
- Baby X - Known as BX for short, this was a computer programming team that was formed for a class at Bowsher. They, along with a few others who became "honorary members" of the group hung out at MTO, the now famous sub shop. Baby X was a reference to the baby that no one wanted, which these guys thought described them well.
- The Grounds Crew - Sufficient Grounds, a coffee house, was home to another group of guys every Friday night. They went there to meet new people (especially girls), drink some coffee, and just hang out. They became known as the Grounds Crew.
- The Original Wolfpac - This group formed at the OLPH fest in '98. It included two honorary members of BX, two members of the Grounds Crew and a member of both, so this was more a joining of the two previous groups. The Wolfpac name was taken from wrestling's nWo Wolfpac.
- The Wolfpac (not to be confused with the ORIGINAL Wolfpac) - Fusion of the Grounds Crew and Baby X. Group came together at BMack's graduation party.
- The Cliq - New and more famous name for the Wolfpac when that name got old. Name came from wrestler Konnan when he called his Wolfpac the "Pack Cliqelation".
- The whole name thing was over and dead in the Summer '99 with the end of the Cliq (fortunately).
- Q: What is the BX Revolution?
- A: The BX Revolution was sort of a contradiction, but it was successful. Baby X is generally referred to as the time when everyone got along, no matter what. This time, from about January to June, 1998, was when the Revolution took place. The Revolution restarted after the Cliq broke up, and was meant as a pact within the group to just be friends and not label each other, even though they were referring to themselves as a group. It worked, however, and most of the old group are friends to this day.
- Q: Who is the baby on the home page?
- A: That is Baby X.
- Q: Who was the Foreign Cliq?
- A: The Foreign Cliq was made up of some of the foreign exchange students that attended Bowsher during the '98-'99 school year. There were four members: Hegoi from Spain, Katz from Japan, Paolo from Ecuador, and Simon from Germany.
- Q: Aren't all these names and terms kind of stupid?
- A: Yes.
- Q: What was up with TJ's "resignation"? Is that why the Cliq broke up?
- A: TJ was fed up with everyone in the Cliq except for a select few. He felt that everyone was being immature and needed to grow up. Learned had been saying this for months, and this was beginning to be the general feeling throughout, but it wasn't until TJ posted his "resignation" on the old message board that everyone else started to understand. It made them feel like they weren't friends anymore, but some sort of secret society. Others put in their "resignations" and before long it was decided that these guys would never refer to themselves as "the Cliq" again. So, yes, it is generally regarded that TJ's resignation was the straw that broke the camels back and ended the Cliq.
- Q: If the Cliq is over, why does the website continue to be run?
- A: The website is now meant to be a tribute to a time of growing up, a time of learning and a time of fun. The guys that are represented on the site were a part of something they will never forget, and this site is simply here to remind everyone of those times.
- Q: What is considered appropriate material and how do you decide what is put on the site and what isn't?
- A: Anything from January 1998 to July 22, 1999 (the running time of The Cliq) is fair game.
- Q: Why isn't (insert name here) included in the profile section?
- A: The guys listed on these pages have been carefully selected. The guys that are shown are the ones who are universally recognized as being members of the Cliq or one of its originating groups. If you're not on here, its not because we don't like you (well, maybe it is), but because you aren't really associated with the group (which may be a good thing). These guys and girls have made MANY friends along the way, and listing them all would take up more space than we are allotted. These are the people who we feel are most associated with the term "Cliq". We are open to suggestions however, so if we have forgotten anyone please let us know.
