| Triumverate front man Mark X is well known for his stage presence and twisted comedic viewpoint of the world. In the year 2004, Mark undertook his first solo project in an all acoustic punk rock record entitled Depressed And Agitated. The record was well received critically and enjoyed mild success amongst a minute group of people. Over a dozen records followed to varying levels of equal parts acceptance and disdain. His lyrics have dealt with many personal issues throughout the years, ranging from his struggles in Sin City Florida, his frustrations with the punk scene, to his return to life in New York. Not to be limited by such restraints, he has also explored philosophical musings in many songs, as well as including wacky comic book and pop culture references that would require either an expertise on the subject matter or at the very least have highly detailed footnotes to even being to understand the song's meanings. This has often been punctuated by the song titles that themselves are puzzle pieces to the song's intents. Perhaps this is best exemplified within the ever popular Mark x Trilogy of 2006. The penultimate chapter of the trilogy Zen Anarchist remains Mark's most popular record to date. With a seemingly endless supply of songs, Mark X, now an infamous singer/songwriter and pioneer of uncompromising hard core folk punk straight edge rock, continues to produce records to this very day, regardless of what city he resides in. The man who bleeds black and orange, the Zen Anarchist himself, Mark X is unique unto himself. |
