SAMHAIN
                                                    October 31st

Samhain (pronounced Sow-wen or by non-paggies as Sam-hain), this is our Big hoilday. Signifing the turning of the wheel, this is our new year. During this time we honor our dead, loved ones that have resently passed or thoughs that have long since crossed-over. On this holiday apples adorn the altars, for they are seen as the food of the dead.  That is why this time is also named the "Festival of Apples".

During Oct. 31st, the veil between the realms is the thinest. So spirits can cross the planes. Foods you can leave for them on their journey are apples, pomegranates, pumpkins, turnips & squash. Of course, this is a time of Halloween, costumes & candy. Enjoy this time, go out and walk among the spirits, also get in touch with your loved ones.

Halloween lore being that children would dress in disguise so demons walking the earth would not recognize them. I see as an opportunity to be whomever you choose to be. Leave your inhibitions behind, responsibly of course.
