The queen fairy looked familiar to the girls as they tried to recall, the queen spoke regally from her throne," Welcome ,my guests, to this fairy kingdom. I'm Queen Jezebel of the Fairies. We are the keepers of this forest." All things clicked in place as the queen fairy gave a wink at the girls.
"My Queen's right. And i am the King JOseph of the Fairies. We are the co-rulers of the kingdom. There's no discrimination against females here unlike in your human world. And by the powers of ours and the universe, we keep this forest from being destroyed like the others. I hope, my guest, you'll do us a favour."
The foursome looked at one another and nodded. Jade spoke up, "What do you like us help you to do?"
" After you leave here, We'll give you a scroll tied and kept in a waterproof container. Help us to bring this to your government to protest against the further destruction to the natural environment here. Please do not open the scroll until you have given it to the officer there.A trusted one mind you. Jade, you know how to do that, won't you?" The Queen smiled at Jade. With all the ease of a queen, She approached Jade and took the pentagram necklace out from her tee.
The boys gasped in surprise and horror. "Jade, you worship the Devil?" Gabriel asked in bewilderment. I don't believe Jade's evil. She's such a sweet and beautiful girl. How could she?
"No, young sons. The pentagram doesn't implicate Jade worship Devil. Its a misconception that many humans nowadays have. The pentagram signifes the oldest and the most ancient religion that the world ever known which is Witchcraft. All kinds of witchcrafts have been around for many centuries. Since the start of the mankind, men worshipped animals spirits, the universe and nature. But during the Burning Times, there were charges against those women as practising a devil worshipping religion. Of course it wasn't true but nevertheless they were hanged. Yes, not all witches are good but none of them deserved the treatment just because they are witches. The witchtrials were meant to eradicate witches and to force people to follow a religion. It's discrimination all over again."
"So you see, young men. Jade here is the descendents of the most ancient religion. Fear not, Gabriel, she won't cast a hex on you. Most witches follow the Threefold law except those evil ones of course. Frankly i could even swear on my throne that Jade's a good witch. And she'll help us with the scroll, won't you, Jade?"
Feeling somewhat uneasy, Jade replied," Yes, my Queen. I'll help you even if it's going to kill me." "Well, enough of these serious business. Let's all have fun on this magical night of Lammas."
All the fairies immediately rose to rejoice in the night. A few of them played some kind of musical instruments and beautiful music flowed through the air. The fairies then joined hands with the Queen, the King and the guests to dance. The upbeat music kept them up for a long time. Finally a slow music was playing and the King invited the Queen to slow dance with him. All the rest watched them dancing so gracefully and effortlessly.
Ted had his arms around Julia and Julia felt so wonderful to have someone cared for her. "Do you like me, Ted?" She whispered softly. He hesitated for a milliminute sec before answering," Yes i like you, Julia." His hesitation made her uncertain but she dismissed it as nothing of significance. She lifted her face slightly and stared into his dark eyes. Ted slowly lowered his lips to hers and gave a quick kiss. Bathing in the blissful feeling, she recalled the feel of his lips against hers. It was her first kiss and she wanted it to be imprinted in her memory forever. With an impulse, she kissed his lips quickly also. Ted looked slightly surprised but delighted and pulled her closer to him.
