THE MASK
A Poem By Melissa Charowsky
I hide behind a mask not     letting my trueself show       You shall never find me; I   will never let you know        My mask is a sacred            shroud                                 It was carefully painted;      neatly endowed                    To hide my true identity       Secreting my top priority      I cover myself in a veil of     disguise                               To lift it maybe my abrupt    demise                                 What you may see is what    you get                                But who I am ; you've         never met!
~THERE I SHALL GO~
A Poem By Melissa Charowsky
Can you love someone by   words alone sight unseen?   Can you love them             completely and not think     it's a dream?                      Does your heart know the   unfathomed truth?              And can it not act, mean     crass, or totally uncouth?    Does it? No. Can it know?  Where love whenced          placed must grow.              A heart that is confused      beyond reason                   Is like a warrior who has     committed high treason       I do not know which way   the wind will blow              All I know is where it         carries me there I shall go!
Forever On Trial
A Poem By Melissa Charowsky
I grow tired, very weary      I am drab & oh so dreary    I kept my state in a              constant downward spiral    Mind, body, and soul           forever on trial                    Do you doubt my sincerity   My dubious popularity         I am tired at every turn       It is my cross to ever burn   Tested, taunted by careless  words                                 Vomited laughter that         seemed absurb                    I still rise up on my feet       & finding ground                On my indomitable sprit's   volcanic mound
Mortal Pride
A Poem By Melissa Charowsky
A Poem By Melissa Charowsky
I hunt you.                   Do you feel dread?      I stalk you.                   I'm so near, I'm in        your bed.                      I trap you!                    You can't run, nor        hide.                             I captured you!            Now where's your        foolish mortal pride?
     ~LISTEN~
Listen to me! Oh, why     can't you hear?                Don't look at me with      such a cruel, menacing    snear                               I want! No, I need you     to understand!                 My every thought,            question; oh yes, even      my command.                  Are you so shallow that    you live in fear?               Without hope, love, or      even cheer?                     Why can't you open your  eyes and see?                   Why can't you let those    troubles go and let them   be?                                  Listen to me! I am           yelling so you can hear.   Don't run from me,         don't show me your fear  I am your teacher; your   guide                               It's by my ruling you        must abide.
  ~I Love~
A Poem By Melissa Charowsky
I am troubled by ye and      greatly so                           I love someone I                shouldn't know                  He's from a world I           shouldn't meet                   To give in would admit       defeat                                Heis obligated more so       than I                                Which troubles me and I    don't know why.
SOCIATAL DRUM
A Poem By Melissa Charowsky
In a closed room devoid of      light; trapped!                         Stripped, helpless,                   unteathered                             A fugitive soul                         Breathing is tight                     Resisting is futile                     Chained down not expected    Never allowed to fight!            Beaten into submission           Not allowed to think               Is this surreal?                         No, it's a sociatal drum           beating us down.
