Story Hour
In the Spring and Fall, the library offers Story Hour for children ages 3 to 5 years. This is a time of storytelling, book reading, puppets shows and crafts.

Story Time
During the school year, the library offers a monthly Storytime program for the Cleveland County Headstart students. Books are read, stories are told and puppet shows are performed for these classes that ride a bus to the library.

Summer Reading
In the Summer, the library holds a Summer Reading Program. Children ages 4 years to through 6th grade are encouraged to participate in the program of setting a reading goal and accomplishing it. There is an opening and closing program which consists of stories, crafts, book reading, puppets, and a traveling troup called "The Timestep Players".

Accelerated Reading Program
In cooperation with the Accelerated Reading Program, we have several books on the list of the county schools. The list is updated regularly.
