YOUTH AND THEIR ACTIVITIES

Apart from teaching youths Biblical doctrines we have formed
a non denominational organization which ensures that youth
have the opportunity to experience emotional and physical
safety, healthy relationships, opportunities for leadership,
connection to their communities, and opportunities to develop
behaviors and become positive members of the community.
We also teach them the life skills they will need to
stay out of the criminal justice system permanently.


Youth will learn to be productive members of society:

*Youth will develop a positive work ethic
and an ability to meet deadlines.

*Youth will improve their behavior at home and school.

*Youth will increase their ability to resolve conflict non-violently.

*Youth will report higher self-esteem and confidence

*Youth will report increase hope and optimism for the future.

*Youth will develop the confidence to take on leadership
  roles in their schools and neighborhoods


Youth will learn to be connected to their peers and families:

*Youth will report a greater ability to connect with
peers, elders and the community as a whole

*Youth will have the opportunity to connect and network with youth
from different schools, backgrounds, races and cultures.

*Youth will report an increased ability to talk to
peers or family members about their problems.


Youth will learn to navigate systems:

*Youth will have experience with and
knowledge of the law and the justice system.

*Youth will develop critical thinking and problem solving skills.

*Youth interns and volunteers will gain job experience and job skills.

*Youth will develop academic skills and begin
to think of college as an attainable goal.

*Youth will learn about the community resources
available to them and how to access them.

Young people need these skills to make a healthy transition from
youth to early adulthood. We are committed to them to do so by
providing opportunities for growth in all of our programs.

We, believes that young people need supports and opportunities to
improve their lives, develop positive attitudes and behaviors, and
develop into healthy adults. To this end, we values the following

Safety-emotional and physical

*We believe that young people need to feel physically safe
and cared for. In order to fully participate in their families,
schools, and communities.

*We believe youth deserve the support they
need to become healthy and powerful leaders.



Relationship building

opportunities to empower themselves.

Youth participation

*We encourage youth to be involved in

and bring a fresh perspective to decision-making.

*We value the youth of today and the contributions they
bring to the society.

*We believe that youth/adult relationships should be 50 / 50.

parent and family involvement.



Community involvement

*We believe in community connectedness and in giving
back to the community and instills the values in youth.

*We believe youth should be knowledgeable
about the community resources.

*We believe in the court process and the sanctify of the court.

*We believe in reducing the cycle of youth
crime through prevention and early intervention.

*We believe in restorative justice

*We provide opportunities for youth to build numerous skills.
