| We were able to wander through the city of Bern shopping. I was fascinated by the architecture. The city is full of fountains with rich carvings, winding streets and clock towers which guard the main entrances to Bern. I was particularily intrigued by the rooftops. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I took advantage of the famous swiss watchmakers and bought a pocket watch while I was in Bern. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Switzerland is also famous for its chocolate and cheeses. The second night T. J. treated all of us to an amazing fondu dinner. The restaurant was expecting all of us and had already set a table...complete with schnopps! T. J. showed us how to dip the wonderful swiss bread into the schnopps then swirl it around in the warmed cheese. I could only dip the bread into the schnopps every third time - it wasn't long before we were all laughing! Boy, that schnopps was dangerous stuff! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
