I am trained
in economics, statistics, and the management sciences. I have about 15 years of professional experience as a
researcher, data analyst, and economist at several academic and
governmental settings. I received my PhD degree in Economics from Claremont Graduate University with a
specialization in “Business & Financial Economics”. I also took MBA classes at the Drucker
Graduate School of Management. I obtained a master’s and bachelor’s degree in
economics from the Economics
Department at San Diego State University. My bachelor’s program was also in International Business – a CIBER program part of the College of Business
Administration at SDSU. While pursuing my degrees, I was always a full-time
student and occasionally worked independently on several consultancy
projects in data analysis (using STATA and SAS). At the moment, I devote 70% of my available time to
teaching and administrative duties at Southern
States University, 25% to my consulting practice, and 5% to research
and professional activities.
