Today was the first meeting of the Community Team 1492 and it went over well. There will be more meetings to come but if you'd like to read the minutes from this meeting, feel free to here.

So, we didn't win the Arizona regionals but we did a good job and had a fun time. There were many teams there from all over the country including Canada, Mexico, and Alaska. All the team helped us out and we helped them.
We did win the Judges award and for that we are very grateful. We are not going to Nationals so now all that's left for our robotics year is to have a party (though when that's going to be I have no idea). Congratilations to all the teams at the Arizona regionals and all other regionals and good luck at Nationals!

We are no longer team 460, nope! You know how Brophy kicked us out of 'their' club last year, well Xavier kicked us out of 'their' school this year!! CRAZY!!!!!! So, we have moved our facilities to a warehouse at Microchip and actually, it's a really cool place to work (except for the fact that it's half an hour away from Xavier over near ASU). So, we struggled last minute to obtain the funds we need (which we got from FIRST by the way...so that's cool) and organize a team. You know the interesting fact that there were two boys and lots of girls? Well, now there are often more boys from PCDS than girls from Xavier!!!!!! AAHHHHH! And technically, I think that there is one more guy total than girls. So, we've been working like crazy people to build our robot (which is up and running) and gather everything we will need for the Arizona regionals in March. Next up is the longest hull, wish us luck!
