I'm glowing...... I'm growing..... I'm going to have..... another BABY!!!!
My Diary: December 2000 We have a complete blood test. It shows that we are both healthy and ready to have another baby. I have actually started taking folic acid two months prior the test. We now feel better that we are both healthy.
1 February 2001 We stop using any kinds of contraceptions. Mid-February I miss my period. However I don't want to get too excited just yet. I felt funny, and I kow that I'm pregnant, but still don't want to go to the doctor just yet as I don't want to get dissappointed.
Wednesday 14th March 2001, 7.30 p.m We have made an appointment to see dr. Bing. He gives me a pregnancy test. While waiting for the result, dr. Bing try to "operate" the splinters that got into Ian's little hands. Then.....the good news came. I'm pregnant! We are so happy that we nearly cried. Never thought that the second time around could create so much emotional feelings.
Monday 23rd April 2001 My first appointment with my geneacologyst: dr. John Garrity. Everything is fine. I am given a letter of reference to make a booking at the hospital.
Sunday 20th May 2001 We attended the hospital tour at Sydney Adventist Private Hospital. So, around the baby's due date (19th November 2001), check out the hospital's webpage for my baby: http://www.sah.org.au
Wednesday 2nd May 2001 My first Ultrasound. It feels so special seeing the baby inside my tummy which hasn't even become big. Ian keeps complaining and asking where the baby is. He must have expected to see a colour foto of baby just like in videos. Ian is so cute!
Monday 28th May 2001 My second visit to dr. Garrity. He's happy with the ultrasound result. The baby looks healthy, we have already seen two hands, two legs, and the face of the baby (not too clear, of course!)
Wednesday, 20th June 2001 My second ultrasound. Here's the photo of my baby! Unfortunately we couldn't tell the sex of the baby as the baby kept curling up his/her legs. Probably s/he thinks "Excuse me mummy! I'm not showing everbody my private parts!" Monday, 25th June 2001 Our monthly appointment with dr. Garrity. The ultrasound results indicates that the placenta is covering my cervix. So unless it moves, I would have to have a Caesarian section.
