BIS 302
According to the 2004-05 ASU Catalog, BIS 302, Interdisciplinary
Principles, "explores interdisciplinarity and integration as applied to various approaches of human inquiry."

What, exactly, does that mean for me as a BIS student?  BIS 302 was all about following the path of interdisciplinary studies.  After taking BIS 301, I had some familiarity with the theory of interdisciplinary studies.  When time for my BIS 302 class came around, the  skills I gained in BIS 301 were put to good use.

BIS 302 equipped me with a methodology for applying interdisciplinary studies in practice.  When I took this course, I was quite familiar with the two disciplines I have chosen as my concentrations.  After learning the skills and methods in BIS 302, I was able to bridge  knowledge from one discipline to another as I tackled more and more complex problems in the arenas of research and scholarly thought.

BIS 302 armed me with an entire arsenal of interdisciplinary inquiry techniques that cut across the invisible lines of single disciplines.  In short, BIS 302 had little to do with interdisciplinary studies, and everything to do with my other fields of study.  BIS 302 headed me in the right direction so that the entirety of my knowledge was far greater than the sum of its individual parts.
