The following are the
Clan [UCB] rules governing admission, promotion, and expulsion.
Admission into the clan
is approved by either the Chancellor or the Dean of Admissions.
New members are
initially considered to be on Academic Probation.
After an initiation period and depending on experience and skill, members
will be placed in one of the lower three rankings.
A promotion in rank
comes about based on experience, dedication, and skill.
Any of these three factors will help promote you.
Clan promotions are initiated and approved by either the Chancellor, Dean
of Admissions or a Department Head. You
may also request to be considered for promotion.
Additionally, a Professor or Associate Professor may submit a
recommendation for your promotion.
Non-UCB students have an
equivalent ranking ladder. Beyond
the Professor rank, non-UCB students will ascend to the Department Head
position. This is the top ranking
for non-UCB students.
Within the game, we expect all members to abide
by HomeLAN Federation rules. The following are the two we take most
seriously.
No cursing/vulgarism/harassment. Friendly
smack-talking is part of any game, but rude, obnoxious, and mean comments
& swearing are not appreciated by anyone.
No cheating. Hey, we all love winning.
But you can win without cheating, and that, to us, is the most fulfilling
part of playing any game. There is a zero-tolerance policy for
cheating

Additionally, members are expected to adopt the ideals of the clan.
Clan [UCB] is here to provide a fun-filled environment of dedicated
players for the purpose of teamwork & strategy.
Outside of the game, we expect members to respect each other's privacy and
not harass other members of the clan. We post basic contact info for
each member in order for members to coordinate playing together.
Breaking
the rules of the clan is grounds for expulsion from Clan [UCB]. Members may be expelled
from the clan at any time by the Chancellor or the Dean of Admissions for
failure to comply with the rules of the clan.
