First and foremost, we require all of our members to be respectful towards their fellow teammates in the clan, and also
towards the other players in the community. Insulting others in the community without provocation is not proper for a RedTide
member.
As far as conduct during Cossacks games is concerned, RedTide has recently decided on a set of gentlemen's rules that would be
used in all of our games. These include: no peasant stealing whatsoever, no forward building during the PT, no use of
Light Cavalry raids into enemy town for the purpose of burning down houses and converting villagers, no coastal bombardments of
civilian buildings, and total respect towards the settings decided on before the game started. That means no breaking the rules.
Generally speaking, we're players who are looking for a challenging and fun game without taking advantage of weaknesses in the
existing game rules. Further explanation of the game rules can be given to you by any RedTide member.
You must enjoy and be able to play games with a 30-60min PT, and limited artillery. The standard used by RedTide members is a
max of 5 field cannons, 5 Howitzers, no multibarrells, and unlimited mortars. You're free, of course, to play games by other rules,
but you must be able to play and enjoy these rules as well.
RedTide also requires of its members to be reasonably active within the clan, to contribute to the forums with ideas and personal
experiences, and to help eachother in raising the overall level of play in the clan. Within this context, we also require members to
get an account on the MSN Messenger, as that is the current chat service we are using.
People wishing to apply for membership will have to make a post in this regard on our Forum, within the Recruitment Office
section.
What we need to see in your post is the following: your usual Cossacks Shell nickname, ways to contact you, and reasons
why you'd like to join the clan. We expect all applicants to be enthusiastic about the game, and willing to learn more about it.
None of the RedTide members are "experts", and we don't expect "experts" to apply for membership. We are all learning more about
the game each day, and we expect applicants to be willing in expanding their horizons.
You will then be approached by various RedTide members, and if everything goes well then you will be given a trial
week (or more depending on how often we turn up online :)) during which you can participate in our chats, play games with us,
and get to know each other better. A vote will then take place and the results will be communicated to you ASAP. A show of
impatience during this trial period will not stand in your favour.
