Since I Lived in Missouri I've been especially interested in
getting info from this state. Also a Normy from Mo asked me to look into some things which got my interest. I have most the listings in the
Kansas City and St. Louis City Directories eventually
with a sample in the States records page.

I found Normiles in area form about 1850 something. In 1880 ther are two RR Engineers in St Louis. Also at least one in Illinois, More later years and in Wi RR people.

Possibly owner of the "Black Normoyles"

These are both the same person with different info. I checked the address. he is posssibly from Janesville Wi since they had a James in the City Dir from Chicago who dissapears and isn't in census.
