Terran Strategy:

Rushing with Terran takes longer then a Zergling rush, but is usually less powerful than a Zealot rush. Which means you must get an Academy quickly, so that you can make Medics to heal your units, and Firebats for the ability to damage multiple units at once. A good tactic, if used very early in the game, is to take a single Firebat around the edge of the enemies base, and attack his workers. If possible, kill both piles of workers that are on the mineral patch. After such a move, follow up quickly with Marines, Medics, and Firebats to kill him.

For an enemy with heavy defense, such as many Cannons or Sunken Colonies, the infamous Tanking works well. Make sure you have a detector for cloaked units, a mobile one if possible, to increase Tank range. Also be sure to provide your tanks with an adequate cover, for if units get too close to the Tank it cannot shoot them. Goliaths and Marines work well for such an idea, but be careful of the counter attack to your base if there are multiple opponents.

And then theres the ever-popular Battle Cruiser. It is powerful, attacks land and air units, and is capable of destroying cannons at long range using the Yamato Cannon... but moves painfully slow. Numbers are an important thing with Battle Cruisers, for a lone BC isnt very powerful, and they are too expensive to waste. Useful for engaging mutiple units or defense buildings (Cannons, Spore Colonies, Turrets) at the same time, it also takes a relativly long time to build, meaning you must start them building before the game has progressed very far. Get them quickly, and then attack, while using Tanks and Goliaths for a base defense. If you have success with the BC's, he will often send whatever forces he has left to assault your base. Also have a ComSat station, for quick use of a detector if your mobile ones have been destroyed, and also for quick scouting of other ends of maps, as well as bases.
