Personal Information:
First of all, for those wondering, the name Dramus was supposed to be the SOB from the Descent series of games, Dravis. I only found out a couple of months after I started using the name Dramus that I had typoed it, but I liked it so much I decided to keep it...So that takes care of that.
I've always been a sort of jack of all trades when it comes to computers, so I've had my hands in pretty much everything. My most serious computing pursuits have been, obviously, gaming, but also in the hardware aspect of things(upgrading, repairing, troubleshooting, etc). I've also dabbled in alot of other things including programming, graphics and multimedia, html and so on. This page has alot of my work in it(I did the html code for this page and alot of the graphics...amateurish, but hey ;)). I'm hoping to become a computer techie after I'm done with school, which would be about the right job for me considering that's what I do with my spare time anyway ;).
As it is, I'm working on finishing school which I'm hoping will be done in the next couple of months, as well as working as a custodian at several locations.
I've been gaming for most of my life, starting most seriously when I was 11 on a couple of text-based muds and a 486. Since then I've played many different games, although my favourites have been Space Flight Sims and Real Time Strategy games. The two best games I've ever played have been, of course, StarCraft and Descent Freespace, though I have many others I regularly play. A friend of mine introduced me to the world of StarCraft about 3 and a half years ago, and since then I've played it more or less regularly. The longest I've ever been able to put it down has been a couple of months, so although I wouldn't consider myself to be a guru or anything like that, I would have to say that I am a good player, if not an expert.
Snake and I have played StarCraft together for the past 6 months to a year, and we found that we shared many of the same concepts in gaming such as hacks should not be the determining factor in a players game, and the other rules that form the very foundation of the clan. And so was born the High Guard, alliance against hackers, home of the elite.
