Tips for Zerg
THE BEST ZERGLING RUSH 1-Get your drones on separate mineral patches.
Tearing up the Terran: The Terrans shouldn't be an issue if you've performed the early Zergling rush, although sometimes they are quite cunning and/or are the ally of the enemy you just attacked. Terrans are laughable, and it is fun simply to rip through their base. Here's some basic tactics vs. Terran: The Worker Rush: Some Terrans get smart and try rushing you with their starting SCV's. Simply attack with your drones. You should have Zerglings and/or more drones coming out by the time they reach you, so you should kill them. Once their rush is dead quickly find and destroy their base. They probably only have one, maybe two SVC's left. The Marine Rush: Zerglings are best against this. If you're smart you should have at least two or three sunkens scattered through your base, which'll take out a nice number of them. By the time they get a marine rush you should be well on the way to destroying them. Marine and Firebats: Same as above, except you should have Hydralisks by this time. If you don't, you should be faster. Hydralisks make short work of Firebats and Marines. Tanks: Build Queens and research "Spawn Brooding". Have at least three queens, six is probably the maximum. If any tanks come spawn broodings out of them. Haha! Wraiths: You should have overlords scattered through your base, as well as Hydralisks.
Enough said. Vultures: Hardly ever an issue, just refer to the "Marines, Firebats" section. BattleCruisers: You should have found out that they're preparing a BattleCruiser rush by your constant scouting (this must be done continually). Whilst they're building BattleCruisers, you build Defilers and research "Plague", as well as pump out lots of Scourge. When they appear, cast Plauges on them and then finish them off with Scourge. Mutalisks aren't usually recommended, although Hydralisks are great against these flying wrecks. As an extra bonus, if you've got a spare defiler cast "Dark Swarm" on the battle between your Hydralisks and their BattleCruisers; your Hydralisks will still be able to destroy but the BattleCruisers will have trouble killing them (side note: most players don't understand the Dark Swarm spell, what it does or how to use it, I'll explain this when I get time). Offensive Bunkering: Some Terrans are smart, and try to block you in with bunkers, tanks, etc. Use Guardians and Queens, with a Hydralisk/Zergling rush to finish them off. Make sure there are Scourge and, if you have any, Devourers to protect the Guardians. As a side note, you should not have allowed them to bunker you in. Science Vessles: These don't pose any real threat, other than the fact that they can detect your burrowed units. If any of your units is "Irradiated", quickly burrow it or move it away from your other units and buildings. There isn't much you can do about Defensive Matrix except compensate for the increased defense and as for EMP Shockwave - who cares? Goliaths: If you've got heaps and heaps of Zerglings, use these, although I'd recommend Hydralisks. Air units aren't really strong enough, unless you have Guardians to attack from a distance. A mass Mutalisk rush can deal with a couple, but not a full-on rush. Don't forget that Queens can Spawn Broodling out of them if neccessary, but I usually save their energy up for the tanks.
