May 6, 2004 - Round Reset
Here's a bit of a late recap of last round. I've also added the contact for nornagon, our new member. I'd like to remind all our members here not to be shy, please send your stats and/or bot squad in when a round has finished. We can only improve by checking out what is working for others, and mixing your own configuration into the mix :)
He're is my stats on the left, and Lust7D's stats on the right.

Here are some screenies of mine and lust's lovely squads.

Now I've had a few questions on what my endbots were equipped with, so I'll post em and you can stop asking, yay! :D

I still have lots to do, I just needed to post something so we dont seem dead here ;)
My second semester has started, but I'll still be making an update a week or so.

April 24, 2004 - Talsian Hell
I just thought I'd give you guys a preview of some of the more dangerous enemies I've encountered in Talsia so far. Once you hit 3 million BM or so, you'll start to get random visits from the Goshawk, a very fast, annoying warbird, pictured below:

This bird has no radius damaging weapons, but can pierce through light shielding (3K) with easy, and fires 8 times per turn. If you cannot defeat the Goshawk in three turns, it will regenerate and come back for another attack run. Basically if it's not dead on the first turn, you are bound to lose at least one bot. Not too fun. Railguns with the speed to fire on turn 2 are a must to take this one down. Once defeated, you'll recieve 20 accolades, 3000 experience per bot, and I believe some rank points (will confirm later).
Once you reach 4 to 5 million battle merit, you will start encountering random destroyers. These beasts may be tough at first:

The heavy guns will do around 12000 damage over a small radius, so come prepared with decent shield deflection. The shield generators only have a reactor of 5000, so dont worry too much about disabling it. As your battle merit keeps going higher, the destroyers will spawn with more and more guns and shielding. Upon death, they are worth 50 rank points, a fistful of accolades, and 6000 experience per bot above the normal bonus.
For a couple of the missions, you are assigned to sit in one location while getting barraged by various waves of enemies (mining base raid, blockade missions). After awhile, you'll get a warning that either some Crash Troopers, or the True Guard is coming to exterminate your presence. This is not good. If you have fought Shock Troopers, you could equate Crash Troopers to be even more elite versions, sporting large amounts of drain, shieled damage, and armor damage on turn two due to advanced rocket launchers. Luckily Crash Troopers dont usually come with Lieutenants, and they are poorly shielded. True Guard, on the other hand, is hellspawn incarnate. Sporting 40000 energy reactors, 20K damage per turn weapons, and an awsome array of uplinked modules, this squad is nigh untouchable. However, here is a picture of me pummeling a squad of em:

Do not even think about touching these guys until you have 15K projected shields and at least 40% shield deflection. Once you've done that, you can probably just sit there and let them blast you harmlessly while you peg the tanks off one by one.
But thats not all. After reaching 6 or 7 million battle merit, you might start to recieve cycom messages that a CyCarrier is in need of your aid, since it is under attack by True Guard. This is your squads final test in my opinion. To defend the CyCarrier, you must first brave a large squad of Crash Troopers blocking your way. Once defeated, you can then clash against a troup of True Guard tanks. Finally when the dust settles, you'll be pitted against a Voilstrum Warmaster tank and his entourage. Here is a picture, taken after 1 turn of battle:

He spawns with a dozen True Guard troopers, a random amount of heavy shielders, and a General (which is untargetable). Right now I can only beat these monsters 50% of the time, so good luck soldier.
I'll add these to the Talsian Encounters info area later, I just wanted to get something to you guys now since it's been awhile. Also added the Engager to the Talsian mercenary stats.

April 14, 2004 - Alliance
We have now secured a Non-Aggression pact alliance with the members of Goonies. Which reminds me, we really dont have any policy in enforcing our members to adhere to the alliances made. Well how about this, you attack the Goonies for no reason and I steal your muffins!
I'm just really hungry...
Anyways, hopefully at least one of our two clans will be able to hold up against the joint armies of ChaosOrder and Enterprise, as it seems they've taken a decisive foothold once again.
Small update to the mercenary table, added in Nighthawk and Pulse mercs. Now you never have to buy these two useless bots, because I did for you. :)

April 12, 2004 - Reset Review
All considering, I think the majority of us had a good time last reset. Here's a couple screenies to show off how far I ended this round.

I've also updated the stats for both Vulcore and Talsian mercenaries. Lots of blanks yet to fill, so please keep e-mailing me whatever you spot. We are also still discussion a Non-Aggression pact with the Goonies clan. - Tenowrath
April 7, 2004 - Clan Bases
Just thought I'd detail the events of the past couple of days. Around 6:00pm on Tuesday, I constructed a base and loaded it up with defenses. Shown here:

This base was promptly razed (after a few attempts) by PointFlashZero of ChaosOrder clan, without provocation. I then proceeded to create another base after PFZ had logged off.
Shortly after construction, this again was razed, this time by EDJP of Enterprise clan. That's all fine and good, we are just testing out the waters right now. So then today, during the Cycom breakdown, Mezzanon accidentally created a base, so I took advantage and did my best to try and defend it, but this time I did some attacking of my own. I first razed a newly constructed base by TreeHuggers clan, and then proceeded to raze ChaosOrder's newest base. Right after my next attack against Enterprise, the joint forces of ChaosOrder and Armada clans had bested my temporary defenses.
So while ultimatly constructing a base is pointless and ineffective, it was great fun causing some havok for the other clans, and the razed goods put us in 6th clan rank.
I'll also get some more information updates up tomorrow. - Tenowrath
April 2, 2004 - Minor Update
Heyo. I haven't had much time to update the Cybots Info page some more, but here's something to tide you over: Dax Pod stats! I get questions on this thing every day.

And I've also updated the contacts page. - Tenowrath
March 29, 2004 - Dragon Fire Website Launch
The Website is now open for business!, or lack thereof. Currently only the Cybot Info, Alliances, and Contact Info are up and running. I'll fill in the other sections as fast as time permits. I'll assume you'd want me to make the Cybot Info page a priority though :) - Tenowrath
