My CosplayLab account is updated CONSTANTLY. I mean if I spend three seconds working on a costume, I'll post it up there. So chances are that you may see something on there that you won't see on here for a bit.
I've been a cosplayer since June of 2004, but I'm a quick learner and I seem have a knack for it. I went from one average costume every week, to four superbly better costumes in THREE NIGHTS. All of this stemmed into my commissioning business.
Favorite Anime: Outlaw Star (then followed by Fullmetal Alchemist)
Favorite Manga: Dragon Knights (then followed by Absolute Boyfriend)
Favorite Video Game: Katamari Damacy and Kingdom Hearts
My Favorite Costume/Wig/Prop as of now: Ukyo Kuonji - Costume and Spatula
Favorite Bishounen: GENE STARWIND from Outlaw Star
Favorite Bishoujo: Aisha Clan-Clan from Outlaw Star
Favorite Mascot: Gilliam from Outlaw Star (if he counts)
To answer a few questions I've gotten...
Question 1 - Why Clan-Clan Cosplay?
Well, Aisha Clan-Clan is my all-time favorite Anime character. No, she's not my original creation, she is the property of Takehito Ito and Bandai, but she's just so bad-ass. I one day aspire to wear all of the outfits she wears and create her beast form. But, that dream will probably be unrealized...
Question 2 - Do you make footwear?
It depends. I've made many styles, but if they're complicated (i.e. Sora from Kingdom Hearts) than I'd have to refuse the commission. I don't specialize footwear, and I don't want to force people to pay money for me to make mediocre footwear when they can pay other commissioners to make even better footwear.
As stated before, I specialize in costumes, wigs, and props... not footwear.
Boot covers, however, are specialty of mine and I can create those with total confidence.
Question 3 - Is cosplaying your only hobby?
Yes and no... I'm a total cosplay junkie (My AIM s/n says it all...) but I make time to do other anime/manga/video game/Japanese related activities, including being President and Founder of the only known Anime Club in Duncanville, TX - Otaku Non-Anonymous.
But majority of my days off and free time is taken up by cosplaying; I'd rather be sewing than sleeping I guess you could say...
