3rd Special Forces Group Assesment and Selection (3SFGAS)
The 3rd Special Forces Group Clan does its recruiting and tryouts in an unusual and unique fashion. Rather than having players tryout based on skill alone, the evaluators at 3SFGAS would rather look at a player's attitude, sportsmanship, and ability to function in a team. Also, Selection Participants are evaluated on public servers, so as to be exposed to "llamas" "newbies" and other players who may be a lot more skilled than they are. In short, they are exposed to the rougher elements of TFC, as so that they can be evaluated in a real-world situation. They are observed to see their ability to adapt to tactical situations, their ability to communicate with teammates, and most of all, to lead complete strangers to victory. The ideal candidate is not selfish, has good communication skills, and does not display frustration against even the most skilled or annoying foe.
The Process:
First, an interested party contacts a recruiter to express an interest in entering the 3SFGAS program. Then this person is given details on when and where to play. They are authorized to wear the [3SFG*S] to signify their enrollment in 3SFGAS. If selected, they are moved into the detachment, and they begin their Q-Course, or class-specific training. Once complete, they are recognized as qualified players in that particular class, and are elligible to participate in clan matches.
3rd Special Forces Group Class-Specific Training (Q-Course)
The Q-Course is designed to develop the skills necessary to tactically dominate the battlefield. Upon passing 3SFGAS, an operator is asked to select a primary class and a secondary class. They will then begin training in their primary class, to ready them for participation in clan matches. Once their primary class training is complete, the operator gains the rank of Staff Sergeant, and are elligible to be selected for matches. 3SFG operators are always encouraged to go back to Q-Course training to be trained in other classes. With training and experience comes more rank and more senior positions on the match team (A-Team). Once an operator has become qualified in two classes they are elligible to be promoted to Sergeant First Class, and will be able to hold a senior level position in their chosen specialty. Upon qualification in five or more classes, an operator is elligible to be promoted to Master Sergeant, and can hold the position of Team Leader.
