This song got a third at the All-Ireland Fleadh in Enniscorthy this year. My buddy Shannonbrooke Murphy sang the song in the competition, as last year. Thanks a million, Shannonbrooke! I wrote this song about a young man working on the construction of the Canadian-Pacific Railroad in the 19th century.
