fuck the recession.

it wasn't really affecting me too much until a giant company decided not to complete a contract with a big company who then decided not to pay my small company for work we have already done. repeat this three times, throw in two other small companies who didn't receive anticipated funding, and you find us unable to make payroll.

our ceo was sobbing in the halls as he went from office to office, telling those that were on the list that they no longer had a job.

this isn't one of those companies where half the people you work with suck so you look at this as a golden opportunity to weed out the losers and keep a core group of brilliant and cool people; this was a company full of brilliant cool people.

and now almost half of them are gone.
