2000 february 29the end of the vanityso i didn't have much to say this month, hence the self portraits i finally uploaded. it seems february is always like this, a sort of non-event in my world, even during a leap year which is a weird enough concept that you would think i would find some way to commemorate it. claire: babe, is february always like this? gene: like what? grey and cold and short? claire: no, like nothing ever happens but i still don't have enough time to get everything done. gene: stuff happens. stuff always happens. claire: name three items of stuff that happened this month. just three. gene: ummmmmmmmm..... claire: three, baby, three. gene: we thought we were getting shot at on the freeway but it just turned out the windshield got cracked. we bought new dining room chairs. we visited each of the six grocery stores within easy driving range. there, three. claire: my life is so full. no need to keep on into march. gene: well, we've got today. let's do something momentous. claire: nah, i don't have the time. leaping into march, claire
