| Shane glanced at LeLe over the candlelit table. "Are you having fun?" he asked worriedly. "I'm having a wonderful time Shane, don't worry. This place is gorgeous and you're such a gentleman!" Shane smiled with content. "The stars are beautiful tonight aren't' they?" LeLe gazed dreamily at the dark sky. "Beautiful, but not as beautiful as you..." Shane said sincerely. LeLe blushed slightly, "Thank you." "What do you say we go for a walk? There's a place I want to show you." "Sure..." Shane motioned for the waiter to come and paid. He held his hand out to LeLe. "Come on then Love..." he smiled. They walked hand in hand as Shane lead them to his favorite spot in the city. "This park is beautiful..." LeLe breathed with delight. "It's my favorite spot in Dublin. Gives me a place to think and collect my thoughts. It's my secret spot." "It's gorgeous...thank you for sharing it with me..." LeLe shivered a little and Shane moved in closer to her. "Cold?" "A bit." "here you go." Shane took off his jacket and covered LeLe in it. "Don't want you freezing yourself to death now." "Thank you Shane." "You're welcome, ya know, I love nights like this. I like being able to spend some time with someone normally." "Hard being a pop star huh?" "You know how it is, you're around this hysteria every day." "True, but I'm not in the spotlight and allowed a private and normal life." Here now...." Shane handed her some of his pajamas. "The bathroom's in there, go on now...I'll be in the living room." LeLe smiled and hugged Shane tight, "Thanks!" -a few minutes later- "Shane??" LeLe walked out into the living room to find Shane reading the paper. "Hey....." Shane stopped and looked at her adoringly. LeLe was dressed in his PJs which were much too big for her. Both the top and bottom were well past her arms and feet. "You look quite adorable love..." Shane smiled. "Thanks....they're huge but comfy. Is it okay if I use the phone? I want to give Mally a call so she doesn't freak out." "Sure, it's on the counter." LeLe quickly dialed the hotel number. *ring* *ring* *ring* *ring* *ring* *ring* *ring* *ring* *ring* *ring* *ring* "Damn...." LeLe muttered. "What's wrong?" "No one's answering...do you think she got in okay? maybe she's at Mark's or Kian's or bryan's?" "It's okay, I'll call the lads up." Shane took the phone and dialed each of them up. He shook his head, "I'm sorry love, no one's answering. I'm sure she's fine though." *THUNDER RUMBLES* LeLe jumped as she heard theometimes, to just be able to go out with a girl and not have it on the front page the next day. Not be mobbed whenever I go out. Don't get me wrong though, I love my job, I love making music and I love the fans. They support us so much and I'm grateful for what they've done for the group. But I do wish for some normality sometimes." "You're being normal now..." LeLe smiled at him. Shane returned her smile with a grin, "You're right, I am, and let me tell you, I'm enjoying every minute of it. It's not often I get moments like this, actually it's very rare. LeLe laughed, "I don't know about lucky charm, but it's probably cuz they don't expect the famous Shane Filan to be out with a girl tonight!" "I forget how a normal life is, tell me, what is your life like." "Busy, busy, busy. I work all the time, from dawn to dusk. Work-a-holic they call me in the office. Running off to manage one band to another. Doing the paperwork, deals, media. Tiring but it's something I love. Then at the end of the day I go home and sleep." "Sleep that's all? Isn't it lonely though? Coming home to an empty house." LeLe sighed, "It is lonely, but I'm used to it now. Never had much luck in love, don't think I ever will." "Never say never." For the next couple of hours Shane and LeLe talked endlessly. She told him all about her bad streak with guys and her life and Shane in return told his. They were in Shane's aparment by now having a cup of coffee. "Oh my goodness..." LeLe exclaimed looking at the clock, "I didn't realize it was so late!!" Shane glanced at his watch, it was 3:30. "I've got to get back to the hotel or Mally will be worried about me!!" "Le, it's 3:30 in the morning!! There's no way I'm letting you out at this time!! There's lots of crazy people out there!! Stay the night, you can crash in my room, I'll stay on the couch." "Oh Shane I couldn't do that!!" "I insist!! And I don't want to hear another word about it. Come on, I know I the thunder. "Storm's coming in..." Shane announced. "You can tell just by that?" He nodded his head, "Yup, one thing about irish weather, it changes frequently, it can be wonderful and sunny then stormy and dark the next. I don't think it'll last long." *FLASH OF LIGHT* "ahhhh I hate storms!!!" LeLe ran to Shane nearly running him over. "It's okay Le!!" Shane laughed, "the lightening's not gonna hurt you in here." *ROLE OF THUNDER* "ugh....Shane!!! I can't sleep with that...I HATE thunder.....I've had a fear of storms since I was 8 years old!!!!I hate them!!" "Come on, let's get you to bed, I'm sure once you're asleep you'll feel much better." Shane lead her into the bedroom and waited till she was all comfortable before getting up to leave. "Good night love, have the sweetest dreams, I'll see you tomorrow morning." *THUNDER CLAPS LOUDLY* "EEEKKKK SHANE!!!!!!!!" LeLe jumped up from the bed and threw her arms around him. "Pleaseee don't leave me alone!!! I'm scared!!!!" "Le, I swear it's not going to hurt you." "Still!!!" she insisted, "I don't wanna be alone!! Pleaseee Shane!!!" "Alright...I'll stay with you on the bed till you fall asleep, then I'll leave okay?" LeLe nodded her head, "Okay...." She got back on the bed and got comfortable and Shane sat down by her. *LIGHTENING FLASHING BY THE WINDOW* LeLe hugged Shane tight as she burrowed her face into his chest. "I hateeee storms..." she mumbled. Shane stroke her hair gently as soon began to fall asleep. He glanced at the clock, it was 5:00. He tried to get up to move but he was just so tired, his eyelids grew heavy and soon he was asleep as well. -that morning- Mallory paced the hotel room in a panic. She woke up to find that LeLe wasn't there. *Knock* *Knock* She threw open the door, "OH THANK GOD YOU GUYS ARE HERE!!!" Mark, Bryan, Kian, and Nicky walked in. "What's wrong Mal?" Mark asked concern filling his eyes. "Le didn't come home last night!! What if something happened to her??" Kian stopped her from pacing and tried his best to calm her down. "It's okay now. We're here to help. I'm sure she's fine. Let's go to Shane's and then we'll go from there okay?" Mallory nodded her head, "Okay..." -at Shane's- *BANG* *BANG* *BANG* *BANG* Mark banged hard on Shane's door but received no answer. "He must be knocked out again." Nicky felt around for the spare key above the door and opened it. "Shay?? You home???" Nicky called out as he put the spare key back. "What if something happend to him and Le??" Mallory exaggerrated. "Don't say such things love, I'm sure they're fine." Kian assured. "Shay!!!!" Nicky yelled again. "They're in here..."Bryan called with an unamused voice. Mallory and the rest of the guys followed Bryan's voice into the bedroom to find LeLe gracefully asleep in Shane's arms. "LE!!!!!" Mallory screamed as she jumped on LeLe hugging her, "THANK GOD YOU'RE OKAY!!!" LeLe woke up with a fright, "HUH!?!?!?!?!?!?!" She rubbed her eyes slowly to find Mallory happy to see her and the rest of the guys looking in shock, especially Bryan. "What are you doing here???" she asked. Mallory gave her a stern look, "I ought to ask you the same thing!! What on earth are you doing in Shane Filan's arms?? And why were you sleeping in them??" she demanded. "Shane's arms??? what??" LeLe turned as she felt Shane nuzzle against her neck. "OH MY GOD!!! It's not what you think!!! We'd been talking all night and then realized it was 3:30 in the morning then Shane wouldn't let me go home cuz it was so late. And I tried calling you but you wouldn't answer then Shane tried calling the guys and no one answered and then this bad thunderstorm came and Mally you KNOW how much I HATE storms and I was soooo scared and I asked Shane to stay with me till I fell asleep!! I SWEAR that NOTHING happened!!!!" Mallory looked at her skeptically, "I believe you, I DO know how much you hate storms. I'm just glad you're alright." Shane suddenly woke up, he yawned and looked in surprise to find everyone in his bedroom. 'hello lads! What are you doing here?" "Mal was worried about Le, but it turns out she was alright since she spent the night with you.." bryan said a bit too icily. No one but Mallory caught on to that. "Sorry lads! I tried calling but no one would pick up and I wasn't about to let her go out all alone at 3:30 in the morning!!" "She's safe and that's all that matters." Mallory hugged LeLe again. "Now that you're found, I say we go back to the hotel and get you showered and dressed with some breakfast." "Why?" LeLe asked curiously. "We're going out today, Mark wants to take us out to a place about 2 hours from here." "Where??" "It's a surprise!!" Kian smiled. "Well okay....." LeLe got up and went into the bathroom to change. "So tell me Shay, how was your date with LeLe last night??" Nicky asked eagerly. "It was perfect!! Absolutely perfect. We had such a great conversation. She's such an interesting person that has so much to say. You just can't wait to hear what she's about to say to you next." "Sounds like you enjoyed it." Kian chuckled. "very much! I want to ask her out for another date but haven't had the chance yet." "okay...I'm ready..." LeLe came out of the bathroom and followed Mallory and Mark out. "Quite a worry you put your mate in, us too..."Bryan said to her as they walked down the hall. "I know...I'm sorry for making you all worry about me, I didn't mean to." "It doesn't matter now, you're safe." Bryan looked at the ground then back up at her, "Can I ask you a question Le?" "Sure...what is it?" "Did you have a fun time with Shane last night?" "It was nice, he's a sweet guy and a perfect gentelman..." "Oh...so I guess that means you don't want to go out for our date tonight huh?" Lele stopped him and looked up to see a little sadness come into Bryan's beautiful blue eyes. "Of course not...I definitely still want to go out with you tonight. What ever gave you the idea that I didn't?" he shrugged, "I just figured that since we found you in bed with Shane this morning that you didn't want to..." "I promise that nothing happened Bry, he gave me comfort and company. I really am scared of storms, I can't stand them." "Well...if anymore storms come, come my way next time...I'd like to be the one to comfort you..." LeLe smiled at Bryan, "I will...thanks...." She took the arm he offered her and went down the stairs. Mallory sighed with distress, she had overheard the conversation between Bryan and LeLe and she was scared of what was going to happen. Shane and Bryan were both interested in LeLe. When you have 2 guys going after one girl....it never turned out good, things always got messy and someone always got hurt. "What's wrong Mal?" Mark asked looking at her, she held an upset expression on her pretty face. "I'm worried..." "About what?" "Le..Bry..Shay...." "What about them?" "Don't you see it Mark? Bry and Shay both like her!! Things are gonna get complicated and messy....Le might get hurt....." "I assure you Mal that things won't get that far. Shay and Bry have been best chums for years now. They'd never let something like that happen between them." "Are you sure?" "I'm positive. Everything will be fine, don't worry!" Mallory gave a weak smile and nodded her head. She wanted to believe what Mark was saying but it was hard to. No matter how good of friends they were, she knew that trouble was ahead and nothing could stop it form happening.... |
