what i do

i love these pictures of me; such a short lived modelling career.

so, first in my regular mailbox i find this definition from the word-of-the-day people:

     : a volume of writings : anthology

then i finally remember to go check my hotmail account and i find this, from a very nice reader, describing how he viewed my site:

vignettes (5. a short graceful literary sketch. -v.t.)

i am completely enamoured of both these words. no longer will i be a diarist or journaller. instead, when someone asks me just what it is i do on this website, i will answer, "i am a vignettist, compiling my florilegium, thank you very much."
